Hopefully, one day Apple will add the Apple Pencil to FindmyiPhone because again this morning, I realized that I left that sucker at home. Does anyone use a case for their iPad Pro that holds the pencil? I so need one of these. Does anyone use a case to carry it?

I had the UAG case last year for school and thought I loved it it was super bulky and the clip on the outside of the case open let to situation the pencil came uncoupled in my backpack. I switched this semester to an stem atlas case and absolutely love it

I recently purchased this case, directly from the manufacturer and I'm satisfied with it. I consider it a good balance between weight and protection. I tried the Speck stylefolio with a pencil holder, but the pencil fell out very easily. Then I tried the Poetic quarterback, but I didn't like snapping the pencil into the clips, and then of course the pencil was still exposed.

That was my scone choice for a case, I thought the atlas looked a little better and I figured since I was carrying in my backpack 95% of the time I could get away with a little less "case protection". I do have a TG screen protector though

I have the same situation, but need a slim case with keyboard AND pencil holder. Anyone have ideas? Love the Atlas case but there's no keyboard

The STM Dux Plus case that I'm using has a counterpart without a front cover thats designed to use with the Apple Smart Keyboard. You can see it here with the apple smart keyboard.

Wow, so I pay $160 for the Smart Keyboard and $60 for the case? I could buy another iPad for that lol. I heard the Smart Keyboard falls off a lot too, or is that just a lie by people that throw their iPads around like a football

Somebody here swore that the magnet holding on the plain cover was so strong he would hang his iPad on the fridge door with the iPad suspended from the cover. Maybe the magnet on the cover for the full size iPad is proportionately stronger than the one for the Mini, but when I tried to hold my mini by the cover, over a bed, I was not 100% successful.

Anyway, I always look for a protective cover because I've managed to drop iPads in the past. They're all still functioning but I don't want to press my luck.

I have had the Smart Keyboard since the release of the iPad Pro. I bought them together. I would not say it falls off a lot but it does fall off sometimes when I am opening or closing it.

Oh there's no way I'd go without a cover on my tablets id break it for sure. I never drop mine with a cover on but I know the second I take it off its gone. I did really like the leather backing on the Galaxy note pro tablet though. I'll miss that. Built in, slim, doesn't scratch, gives a good grip when drawing. It was fake leather but it still felt luxurious. But anyway, I read some reviews on the Smart Cover with keyboard and people said it falls off, I don't like that

I have a bag that goes virtually everywhere with me. Inside that bag is a pocket with pencil pockets. When I'm done with the Pencil it goes in its pocket in that bag. Have never left behind a stylus in the ~5 years I've been using one.

That doesn't work for me. I take it pretty much every where that I go.
I would be very restless to take something so delicate and expensive anywhere, and that applies for the iPad, too. Anyway, I don't understand how someone can lose anything like this unless it's super rich or unaware that needs to remain in full alert for fear that some s.hit can happen and the Pencil or any similar device end up breaking.

When it comes to such devices, that can't be found in the nearest store for a few bucks, I am extremely paranoid and protective. Apple's devices are too damn expensive for me to get careless.

More reason for it is that I refused to buy a screen protector, so I need to take great care of the Pencil to avoid scratching that naked iPad screen.

Seems like you're crippling your iPad Pro experience. I lost my original Apple Pencil charger adapter because I was in a rush between class when I first had my iPad and was carrying too much around. Now I had my MacBook Pro, iPad Pro and chargers and they go EVERYWHERE with me. My iPad would be worthless if I couldn't bring myself to take it anywhere. You should get a case and a TG screen protector and go out and enjoy the greatness that is the iPP

This is what I do...I have a 9.7 inch iPad pro and I love the darn thing. I have a case that works perfect and I have a really old school bluetooth keyboard thaat I got when I bought the second generation iPad.

Because the Keyboard is designed to fit the older bulkier iPads, my Apple Pencil fits perfect at the top where the magnet is and it just clips on. Its perfect because I can carry around my iad, Pencil and Keyboard all as if they were one device or separate them no problem. My case holds it up perfectly for typing and viewing purposes. (It mimics Apple's iPad Smart Cases).

I wish I could describe my set up better. Honestly, I just hope magnetically attaching the pencil to anything will hurt it...I mean...it does have a tiny computer in it...

No screen protector???? Lol i put a screen protector on the front and a vinyl film on the back. I actually like the feel of the screen protectors, it gives a little grip for the pencil so it's not like drawing on glass. I also like a leather type vinyl on the back for extra grip. The aluminum is great but it feels like it's gonna fly out of my hands. I know what you mean by protective though, I do have a checklist I go through before leaving anywhere -iPad,pencil,phone,wallet, iPod, check. I suppose wallet should come first though lol. But it would just be so much more convenient if more iPad cases had built in pencil holders

The best screen protector that you can name is still going to be detrimental to the improvements we had in the iPAD Pro 9.7.

I too like how easier it is to touch the screen with one. However, since I take great care of my devices (also using a microfiber cloth, Apple's Smart Cover, etc.), I won't sacrifice the image quality, and besides, once the screen protector is there, you won't remove it again. Or at least, the hassle won't be worth it.

For me, this is the kind of thing that became worthless over time, unless it's for the iPhone.

Is this compatible with the Apple Smart Keyboard?
