iPad Pro Apple Pencil Order Status Thread

when I asked an Apple employee at the Eaton Centre Apple store he told me 8am. He also said that the last time their store received them was on Thursday, Dec 10 but haven't had any since then. This was a few days ago. I've been checking every day for the last couple of weeks and none of the stores in Toronto area have received any pencil shipments in all that time. So it seems to me that Apple still has some major supply issues with the pencils. Notice that online order times have not improved at all - it's still 4-5 weeks. a clusterf-ck of a launch.

Thanks for the reply. It makes sense because I haven't seen a single pencil populate online in the last week. Hoping for something tomorrow (monday), I almost wish Apple would just make a statement about the low supply. Kinda crazy.

When I was looking in the LA area, I found the availability came on at various times. That was consistent with what I was told in the store - that shipments show up at different times depending on the carrier. After the shipment reaches the store, it is entered into inventory and then shows up. I found some stores/some days had inventory listed around store opening. A couple of stores closer to me (Manhattan Village and Third Street Promenade) got inventory around 3-4 PM.

I installed that script to auto-track now, so hopefully it works and I can snag the next inventory!

I ordered mine from Apple on Nov 14 with promised 4-5 weeks delivery. Still waiting. The promised delivery date slid to Dec 21-30 although it still says 4-5 weeks. I've been checking in-store pickup availability for the last 10 days or so but there hasn't been anything available in any of the Toronto area Apple Stores. :mad:

Finally received it today! better late than never but still 7+ weeks for delivery is pretty bad. Whatever happened to underpromise and overdeliver? Apple really dropped the ball on this launch. I suspect the only reason they are not getting too much bad press for this is because iPad pro is a small volume product.

I can't believe you waited so long, there were many chances for you to have your pencil earlier...

FYI, Verizon has it available for backorder with a Jan 8th ship date. Earlier this afternoon it just said Out Of Stock. Now it says backorder. I placed my order and am waiting. Lol.

Just an update. The Pencil I ordered last night shipped this morning from Verizon. It will be here Thursday. The site is still saying backordered, but they actually have them in stock.

after reading this i took a shot in the dark and ordered one just now if not its only a week and half difference anyways its better then calling apple stores and looking around else where.
 
I've checked the online inventory check on Apples site for a week now. I'll try at different times of day, never has inventory anywhere. But are they still receiving 1 or 2 at the biggest stores? Should I just go down to my local store at 10am and hope for the best? I'm starting to think they don't even list these small quantities online!
 
I refused to wait the 4-5week wait apple gives, just to let you all know that John Lewis has them in stock. Got mine deliverd to my local waitrose and I'm picking it up tomorrow!
 
Ordered both an iPad Pro and a pencil through Verizon last night. Just received shipping confirmation for both. Delivering on Monday the 4th because of the holiday.
 
All still looking... Ordered one from Verizon yesterday 1/10 and it shipped this morning for delivery on Wednesday. Also took notice for those still needing the Smart Keyboard Cover was in stock too.
 
Ordered 12/1
ETA 1/5-1/11
UPS claimed they delivered 1/8. Did not receive it. Replacement order placed on 1/9, ETA 2/3. Order status changed to Preparing for Shipment, delivers 1/15-1/19
