Apple Pencil Pro?

I bought- The last gen apple pencil and returned it because l thought a new one was around the corner back in 2021. I got the

Pencil Pro but l am having a hard time finding compatible apps that work with that are not subscription based. right now I’m using it as a stylus but I’m curious of it’s full potential because I’m trying to learn how to really use the features.

I hope I’m not the only one though.

I've been trying, but I'm trying to play catch up on how to really use and be efficient with it. I drew with pencil before but i'm still trying to get the jist of how it all works with the notes and freeform app for the moment.

Maybe i'm out of touch but when my kids go to an apple store, they are the first ones who play with the ipad/pencil displays but I need to pay attention to what apps they demo

One small thing I have noticed that I think is a really nice touch is when you hover with the pen there is a shadow on screen, the shadow is the shape of the pen you have selected i.e. if you have the fountain pen selected it has a different shadow to the ball point pen!

I have not been using mine much. The way I am presently using my iPad does not include the Pencil. What I am hoping for is a charging case for the Pencil.
