Does "more flexible album organization tools" mean it can finally sync smart albums via iCloud, probably not?!. It is ludicrous, that my M4 iPad Pro has more power than my 2020 iMac but I can still not see the contents of smart albums on my iPad.

In my eyes Apple Photos is stimm a toy tool, not even near to what they promised when abandoning Aperture.

One thing I was hoping for but is still not implemented is being able to omit videos from syncing to iCloud. That’s the only thing preventing me from using that feature. All I want is a checkbox to deselect videos and sync only photos.

They are insistent that all images go to their cloud and suddenly you need more storage which rings the cash register every month at Apple. There is a method to their madness and that is ever more cash flow from their customers to themselves at Apple. 😳

Poor Apple needs the money. 😱

When Photos came out at the demise of Aperture they promised the earth, but delivered nothing, just left us with a program inferior not just to Aperture but iPhotos, we still aren’t back to that functionality, such a shame, such a waste
With all of the Creator Studio hype they pushed, I really hoped they would bring back Aperture (or buy another company and integrate it). It was so much better than Lightroom back before they killed it.

Totally agree, and much easier to use. It was also older than Lightroom as well as being the highest earning app in the app store when they got rid of it, makes you think some dodgy deal with adobe was made
