While most are complaining about this, why has no one mentioned that this could be in the works.

We all know Apple plans a portless iPhone, for all we know they are testing these to replace the lightning (and maybe USB-C) with MagSafe. Thus having a matching colour to the iPhone would be a great feature.

Nah, just normal Apple strategy. Release in silver...wait 2 years and then release "colors" update to make everyone who already bought 1-2, buy 1-2 more. Then release the actual V2 with more power a few months later.
