I'll Party tomorrow if the new Mac Pro is with Cube Form Factor, with optional Rack Mount conversion Kit (4U-Half Rack), EveryBody Happy.

About H/W, Dual 8 Cores Xeon E5v2 Plus 3 Discrete GPU, Hot-Swappable Frontal load HDDs.:apple:

And OS/X 10.9 Lynx

Not A prediction, just my personal Desire.

So an all-in-one (iMac) is no good, because you can't open it up and upgrade it - there is no way to set it up the way you want.

But for devices like an optical drive, which some users might need, and others will never use, an external drive isn't an option - the drive HAS to go on the inside of the case.

Maybe Apple should just sell a bunch of sheet metal. Buy whatever the @#$% you need, and then you put a sheet metal box around it, and call it the Mac Pro. Done.

This implies there is something inherently wrong with the current form factor. There are two optical drive bays, if you don't need them throw HDD's in them it's not tough the reverse is not true though.

And since the front is full of hdd slots, there's no place for big fans to move air quietly, Apple could also start selling some fancy miniature data centers witch would keep the noise inside and you could carry with your insanely thin new MP...

Leak?

Alleged 'leaked' Mac Pro image.

Who thinks it's real?

"gigantic graphics power and file transfers in a zip" is not something Apple would say. I also don't think they'd ever use the term thunderbolt 2. Fake.

Actually thunderbolt 2 not available until January, so it's an obvious fake.

Btw looks nice, but no pro users actually want this.

And no space for Xeon E5v2 MAYBE E3 but E3 don't support dual gpu, so still an fake.

Most 4U half rack server cases besides the expansion boards shield have room for 2 or 3 fans (not including the dual psuv fans )

so a 4u half rack cube still has chance.

oxymoron

A 4U cube would be quite a bit smaller than a stack of four MiniMacs.

Not. Going. To. Happen.

Not certain here.

BTW if an fake, its really good, resembles both Mac Mini and iPhone 5 designs.

If Such thing is the real new Mac pro (or one of the new mac Pro), this means onle Xeon E3 plus Low en nVidia Quadro, not the beast the current Mac Pro is, desptide it outdated tech, this cube can not beat previous mac pro.:apple:

Picture only tells the proportions.
What if it would be 40x50x40cm?
(40cm should be enough for full length pcie card.)
Airflow could be from bottom to top with one massive fan (no airflow compartments anymore) and storage slots on the top, but...
Picture is obviously fake, but it could be possible...

All We Pray to Jobs Spirit it to be fake...

BTW it this thing is big enoug to hold dual Xeon E5, would be amazing...

1 day before WWDC, I think it's very possible.

If it is real, it'll be a lot bigger than it looks in that picture. To fit two high end GPUs in there alongside a mini ITX mobo, an SSD, PSU, and enough airflow to keep it from bursting into flames, it'd have to be about 15 inches tall, and about 10 inches in depth and width. That'd be about like 10 Mac Minis stacked on top of each other, but a little fatter.
