Every year thousand of people, say I am not going to get a flu shot, then they get the flu and sometimes get Pneumonia and die. A virus is what a virus is, why is it because it is something new we all go bonkers. Do what you should do all along every day, wash hands, if sick stay home until you feel better.

Humans have been on planet earth for millions of years. We have a little think called an immune system. 8 hours of sleep, take in liquid, eat healthy, get some exercise and guess what the immune system adapts for survival. And guess what your DNA determines if you get cancer, live to 100 and fight diseases viral and bacterial. Just look up why people took out the dead during the Black Plague were able to survive that pandemic. Your DNA has a big part of your survivability and you age.

A magic drug will not fix that, your body has to do the fighting if it can to live threw the viral infection. Oh you might want to think about getting that flu shot this year and not say, every time I get the flu shot it give me the flu this is not true. And if you are 60+ a pneumonia shot is also recommended. We do not live forever, we live as long as we are programmed to do.

Even with stores open there is no stock of iPad Pro....I kept thinking supply would catch up with demand and you would be able to order and pick up or get it shipped in a day or two.
Apparently APPLE is holding all of them in China and drop shipping from there. All arrival dates on all models are the same which indicates to me they aren’t being stocked and are warehoused most likely in China and shipped on order.

Only in America does a leading expert on infectious disease receive countless death threats against him and his family.

Everywhere else in the world, similar experts are called heroes and receive honorable nominations.
Because, in this country, there’s a contingent that wants VERY MUCH for you to believe them instead of scientists, so they have an entire ”news” channel (and countless radio stations and websites) dedicated to putting out, effectively, propaganda, telling their faithful to disregard facts, disregard those with expertise in a field, and believe only their propaganda. And they’ve created an entire faction of anti-science idiots in the process.

There was a huge demand for iPad from a couple hundred million students in China. Apple mentioned this during their recent financial results. The pandemic has been controlled and virtually all students have returned to in-person learning. But a lot of students are still taking non-essential coursework (and tutoring) online.

When your stock is worth over 2 trillion, you can look more sensitive than a business that is squeaking by. I’ll continue to rip Apple for terrible customer service throughout this. Fixing an iMac has been brutal and Apple will not sell parts to us common folk.

The temperature check is optics, it isn’t that accurate at predicting COVID carriers. Masks and social distancing with good cleaning practices really reduce the risk for most. Even my wife has asked that we shop at Best Buy since Apple stores are a pain to visit now.

My state is mandatory masks and it is working pretty well. Remember Tim, 1 bad quarter and the dominos start to fall.

I think the temp checks were initiated to identify “spreaders” of The China Virus seeing as it had been reported that spreading the virus without any symptoms was actually very rare. Not sure what is reported today...the flip, or the flop.

Meanwhile in my city, the same homeless people sleeping maskless on the concrete every night are still alive and kicking without the slightest sign of sickness.

Across the street a bar requires you to enter with a mask but doesn’t require it with food and drink.

Such a ‘pandemic’

THIS!
And don't forget Sweden, they never locked down.

Not to be insensitive, but if you're more vulnerable for your age than average, you'd do well to take precautions, as you are. Others have a much different risk factor.
Those “others” bring it home to those with the risk factors. That has played out time and again.

For someone like me, I’ll admit that I’m not afraid of the virus anymore since I already had it and was only sick for one day. So I’m willing to be out and about. I’m still being safe/cautious and I know it can potentially be caught again, but I’m not as worried as I used to be since I beat it. I’m sure that’s how a few others think.
Your goal should be to avoid getting it again so you don’t spread it to someone who it would be a death sentence for

Right. That's why, if you live with someone vulnerable, or are around the vulnerable, greater precautions are warranted. Shutting down physical stores, gatherings etc. for who knows how long, creates other devastating consequences. My son-in-law works in a long term care facility, and has witnessed folks dying sooner than normal, not because of COVID but because they have no hope. They cannot see their loved ones, they don't want to get out of bed to do their PT, they don't recover from surgeries as fast because of depression. Life has become sad and meaningless for them. The shutdown, the flurry of "concern" for them has brought grief, with little balance of risk — and little hope. Somewhere we have to realize life isn't just about "not dying".

And now for some facts... Covid-19 fills up entire ICU floors in a way no common flu has. People will sue deep-pocketed Apple (as well as their own employers) if they contract Covid-19 and can trace it back to a crowded Apple Store, or their own office. And here we are.

Fact.

The person suing could actually be the customer at the Apple Store or the employee at their workplace that actually brought and spread the virus to the Apple Store staff or fellow workplace employees, and be the one that ends up being sued.

And there you go.

So COVID is the only virus or bacteria that can kill these “vulnerable” ones?

The world is full of harmful or deadly pathogens and people refer to CV19 as the only thing out there for decades that could hospitalize an immunodeficient or elderly soul.

How on Earth did these people survive all these years as I honestly can’t remember seeing more than one person a month, maybe a year, wearing a mask before CV19 came along.

Novelty and contagiousness are some of the variables that are in play.

It isn't meant to be "accurate." It's an indication of someone possibly being Covid symptomatic. I'd insist those people not enter the store, even with a mask and social distancing, which of course Apple requires.

I still say why are all businesses closes, while Apple gets around this lightly. Appleis not classifie a san 'essential servce'

Order things act differently in he U.S?

"Associated manufacturing and supply chain for those retail businesses will also be able to get back to work."

I think his article was talking about the above, not of Apple specifically.
