Is this a good deal?
Apple PowerBook G4 w/ AirPort, Final Draft 7, Final Cut Pro HD
Not really, Final Cut Express barely runs on my G4 Mac Mini. If all you are doing is surfing the Web and email, well, it will do, barely.
Not enough information to determine that.
All depends on the model. My 1.67 G4 still runs great and even runs cs3 at a respectable speed considering its a 3 year old machine. 350 sounds reasonable but it all depends on the condition, model, etc.
500MHz PowerPC G4 Processor
384MB PC100 SDRAM
20GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive 4200rpms
Combo Drive (reads CDs and DVDs; writes CDs)
15" Widescreen LCD (1152 x 768)
FireWire 400, 2 USB, S-video. VGA. Ethernet Ports
Apple 45W AC Adapter
I wouldn't touch that thing. If spending a little more money is okay with you, I'd go find a first generation Macbook instead.
Personally, I'd pass without hesitation - it has a small hard drive and not much RAM so you're going to be limited to older versions of apps... but the price doesn't seem too far off - a quick Google for 12" Powerbooks (1.5 GHz) shows about $700, but that's surprisingly high to me. Good luck!
Yowzers, that's slow, and a rip off. Watch craigslist and you'll definitely be able to find a quicker G4 for not much more money.
Apple would have called that a super computer in 2001!
Steve would have called it a screamer!
I figured it might be a bit high....but the person said it runs the final cut hd which would be nice....
At least it has FIREWIRE.....
but thanks...I'll pass on it.
