    Hi,

I have found a PowerBop, it's a (french) PowerBook 180 with a wireless module instead a floppy disk.

The technology is CT2, it's like DECT in the '90, but with a public network (before the GSM and CDMA). I have a private base, to use it at home : you can connect the PowerBop to a phone line with the base.

This model is based on the PowerBook 180, and it's very rare : Apple and France Telecom made only ~500 models and sell only ~100 of them.

    The page about CT2 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CT2
The page about PowerBop (in french) : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powerbop

Have you an idea of the value of this machine ?

That's pretty cool. How do you run it at home then? I have an old Handspring Visor data modem that uses the old CDMA connection, never been able to get it working!

I would be interested, if you asked because you mean to sell it.
Unless somebody names a silly value that I couldn't afford.

    For CDMA, i don't think it's possible.

Here, it's a "feature" from the network : you can have a "base station" at home. It's like DECT.

When i'm ready, i'm post here. Today, i have a problem with the modem.
