I know, some of them related to basic features. I think they just gave up with iOS 18 and now they’re focused on iOS 26.There are still many bugs they need to address
just like they gave up on iOS 17 and iOS 16.I know, some of them related to basic features. I think they just gave up with iOS 18 and now they’re focused on iOS 26.
yesterday i went to apple store, i asked the store manager if there is an option to upgrade the case of the air pods pro 2nd generation from lighting to usb c, she along with her team said that is not possible and you have to buy a completely new air pods pro 2nd generation with usb c option, i came back home did some research technically it is possible, i made a complaint to apple as welland maybe slows things down on the old hardware![]()
This couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s very much the opposite, actually, and the last .x updates are the most stable, battery efficient and bug free of the generation.
Given the mess that iOS18 has been, I’m very glad to see that this is coming, as it will be quite a while until I move to iOS26.
what is this mess ppl are talking about with 18?? I have a short term memory when it comes to apple....they can almost do no wrong...nevertheless, ive had a very smooth experience with 18....no lost files or anything crazy as far as I can tell....I think ppl just exaggerate to have things to complain about...so tell me, specifically, what makes 18 so gawd awfffFFull???
and im curious...why are you steering clear of 26? is it to wait out the bugs? peace
Ah nice, the final .X update. This the one that lowers battery life and slows older models, so you buy the new model😎 keeeen

So...you enjoy the Photos app?
Definitely. iOS 26 has been tested for some time so I don't expect any big issue, but of course once it is send into the wild, things could arise. My case is a bit extreme waiting almost a full cycle, but I would say .3 and .4 should be a good candidate to jump in. It just depends if there is a killer feature that you need since day 0. If you can wait, I would do so.I’m going to throw in a question here, a legitimate question because I’m not sure if this could be the case.
With a new major version, a big number of new features are implemented. This new features carry with them bugs, some of them may be open windows (vulnerabilities) for new malware exploits. Many of this bugs, opened by the new features introduced with the major version, are usually, mostly, fixed by the end of the iOS cycle, in summer, with versions x.6 and x.7.
Would it be safe to say that, purely from the security standpoint, it’s safer to stay on iOS 18.7 for a while (let’s say until iOS 26.3 or 26.4) rather than jumping to a whole new system such as 26.0, 26.0.1, 26.0.2, 26.1, etc? Or is there something I’m missing, and it’s actually safer -again, from a security standpoint- to install iOS 26.0.2 rather than staying in 18.7? Thank you
Before we go to the trouble of compiling a lengthy list and backing it up with sources from other users:do you have examples ?
When hackers will cease to exit.“this update is for security fixes ….”
When will the security fixes finally get fixed?
