Apple is readying the subdomain genai.apple.com, according to MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris, but it does not yet lead to a live web page. The genai.apple.com subdomain has been added to Apple's domain name servers a few weeks ahead of Apple's annual developers conference WWDC, where the company has promised to announce "AI advancements" across its software platforms.

Apple's website already has an Apple Intelligence page, so it is unclear what the company's plans are for genai.apple.com at this time. The subdomain is clearly related to generative AI, which has been popularized by chatbots such as ChatGPT and Claude in recent years.

Apple's next major software releases like iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 are expected to include many new Apple Intelligence features, including a more personalized version of Siri with on-screen awareness. Similar to other chatbots like ChatGPT, a dedicated Siri app will reportedly allow users to have back-and-forth conversations.

Apple Intelligence will power a wide range of new accessibility features, such as automatic captions for videos recorded with an iPhone. In addition, Voice Control is gaining support for natural language, allowing users to say things like "tap the guide about best restaurants" in Apple Maps or "tap the purple folder" in the Files app.

Apple Intelligence will make it easier for users to create shortcuts in the Shortcuts app, and it will power a new "Create a Pass" option in the Wallet app. Safari will be able to automatically name tab groups, and Visual Intelligence will be able to scan food nutrition labels and add information from a business card or paperwork to the Contacts app.

Apple's WWDC 2026 keynote begins on Monday, June 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Apple will not be sued again for its false advertising. Right?
People file nuisance suits without merit like that one all the time, I’m afraid. Just a fact of how the US legal system works in regard to corporations. Low class lawyers have figured out exactly how to turn nonsense into a big legal fee payout even when there’s no actual evidence. It helps to have the ear of a well known “analyst” at a financial company, too.

STOP WITH AI GOD DAM PLEASE... One day got release gpt 5.7, another one it's Claude 5.0, the other day gemini 4.0, then grok has problems, Apple Intelligence might have new features, this AI app can vibe code, google adds AI to YouTube and so much more !!!!!

Probably some internal thing they need for the Gemini powered Siri to work. They have plenty of weird subdomains for networking reasons already: https://support.apple.com/en-us/101555
And that doesn't even include ever, e.g. things like
jackfruit.apple.com or honeycomb-services.apple.com (this is very new)
😂

Different groups have different subdomains for lots of purposes.

Edit:
Some other interesting ones, out of many, but these are new:

genai-pbz.apple.com
carry-falcon-ci-ausw2a.smoot.apple.com
atvplus-juno.apple.com

Never in the history of A-Inc has there been such a brouhaha about a late feature that’s already available on other platforms.
Maybe it’s because there’s nothing else to talk about-
My guess is that few Apple customers care at all about on board a.i. and likely a shocking number don’t even know what it is or why they’d even want it.

Artificial Intelligence being forced down our throats is beyond insane because when Apple Intelligence first came out people didn’t really knew what it really was useful for and its purpose.

Now we know it’s just to make things more complicated than they used to be. I don’t see it as something helpful at all but dangerous.
And because of that the entire technology sector is suffering due to extreme shortages of parts 💔

What we need is a Snow Leopard update to iOS and MacOS instead of the dangers of AI.

But I don't want genAI.
And I especially don't want an AI with "on-screen awareness". Get off my lawn desktop.
Yeah... How about we go for GenV instead? If we enhance humans, into supes,... well maybe not. But I do think we should be doing more to improve humanity, and I am not so sure genAI is the pathway to it...
