I have to wonder what the shareholders think about all the lost sales due to incompetence on apples part on having stock available. Theres only a year to sell these and every lost day is less profit.

A drop in the bucket... iPods make up a small fraction of Apple's total revenue.

Preordered 64GB Touch from the Japanese Apple Store one or two hours after the announcement..... Let's hope I'll get it on or close to October 9! (order status still says "october" btw)

looks to be really great, I just wish it had GPS. (I wish the new Nano did too, I'd pay extra for it even.)

For an 8 gig model. Now for $199 you get a 16 gig 4th gen iPod touch. Double the storage, same price...

The 4th gen 32 gig, was $299. The 5th gen 32 gig is also $299. No premium.

Just no 16 gig 5th gen.

i was very lucky to get a 64 gig ipod touch 4G from a co worker for FREE!!!! it fits all my itunes music and i use it as a pure music player!!!:D:D:D the 5G looks great but i could never afford the 64 gig version

Sam's Club Shipments

I work at a Sam's Club store, an affiliate of Walmart. We have a large shipment of "unknown" Apple items set to be delivered to our store on Oct. 14th. FYI

As I am a Galaxy S3 user and absolutely hate iPhone 5 as a phone, I might get an iPod Touch as it would be an excellent media player.

Man, I'm REALLY hoping this comes out IN STORES by the 11th. My mom is in the US until that day, and if she can't bring me one this time, it might be a while till I can get my hands on one =/ DYING to upgrade from my 2nd gen.

I love the blue. It is absolutely gorgeous. It has a hint of iPhone 5, but still has a distinct design which makes it its own product.

Any thoughts on what the pricing would be for the iPad Mini? Can't be more than an iPad, but could it be less than an iPod Touch? Nexus 7's and Kindles are in the $200 range. Curious where they go with this...

Yes, this is a puzzler. An iPad mini for less than an iPod touch? Quite a difficult problem for the pricing wizards at Apple. I guess we will see soon.

Your guess is as good as mine. Depending on the 'goodies' inside and taking into account the 'price umbrella', I'd say $249-$299. Can't fathom them going below $249.
