Hello everyone,

I see on micro center web site the i5 13" is $999. If i go to the apple store and show them the website Deal will they price match???

Thanks

I'd call your Apple Store and ask.

When I worked there, with managers consent, we could price match (up to $200) against someone else's *regular* price.

Best Buy, if the don't pricematch MC, will match Apple's educational price plus give a $100 BB Gift Card to bring the price to $999

if there's a micro center in your area, the apple store will price match them. did this today but can't get anymore discounts or promos.

Apple have an unpublished price match policy, they'll price match any reseller (atleast here in Australia). No need to ask the manager or anything, most of the time they already know about the place with the cheaper price so as soon as I mention it, they simply take the difference off the final price.

They price matched the one I purchased from Micro Center and had no problem doing it. I have the paid receipt to prove it. They said they would only price match Authorized Retailers, which Micro Center is. Don't listen to those saying they won't do it.

I priced match my current 13" MBP about a month a go. I also got the $100 gift card and the free printer(rebate) as well. The Apple Store that I went to was in San Francisco and the Micro Center that was closest was about 40mins away.

Just go to your local Apple store and politely ask, you might get lucky! :D

Your experience may vary depending on the Apple store manager. If you work for a large company (or own your own) ask if there is a business discount that may apply to you.

So you got them to price match to 999 and got the 100 dollar gift card? Nicely done if so.

My apple store pricematched MC even though there are no micro-centers in FL. Picked up my MBP for 999 with the $100 gift card too.

Yeah, I did. I just showed them the MBP in the Micro Center cart and all they did was check if they MBP was the same model. They didn't even check if the Micro Center was close or not! :D

My local Apple Store said that they price match, but could only do up to 10% since the price different was so much. So I just went to MC

Obviously it all depends on your store.

I want to exchange my MB for the Pro, but I don't have the option of just leaving to go to MC because they will take $100 off my refund if I just return and leave (BTS promo, used the card). Will the price matching still work? The closest MC is only 10 minutes away from the apple store I am going to.

It blows my mind that the OP got several INCORRECT responses initially.

Apple price-matches Amazon with a restriction of 10% of the value of the device. So yes, web is a possibility for price-match. In fact, a user was able to get Amazon's 20% Kindle offer applied to their Apple Store Macbook Air.

I actually tried this at Best Buy. Didn't work, but they did price match Apple's student discount + the $100 gift card. It was a gift for my brother, so he came back and used the gift card on a carrying case, a mouse, and two packs of printer ink. Since they have a promo where you get 20% each accessory if you buy four or more, it was a pretty good deal.

It really depends, most Apple stores won't match but I've heard of a few cases where people got the price match.
