Apple products prices in different countries

    Just take macbook for example:

    USA $999
    UK £816=$1313
    CANADA $1099=$1040
    France 899 €=$ 1272
    Germany 929 €=$ 1314
    China ¥7998= $1171
    Korea ₩1,390,000= $ 1210
    Japan ¥98,800=$ 1097
    Hong Kong HK$ 7,788=$ 1002
    Australia A$ 1,299.00= $ 1174
    Sweden 9.995,00 kr= $ 1384

    1) You need to calculate the cost of Tax.

    Using a different spec

    US: $1,199
    UK: 781,28GBP = $1217
    Denmark: 7119,20DKK = $1320
    Sweden: 9596,00SEK =$1287

    It's actually pretty close together, especially when you include factors such as

    2) Regulations, Shipping Taxes, Customs, Blah Blah (the people most people ignore and blame companies for)
    3) Economics of scale. Not every country has the same amount of people, or even order the same amount of Macs. The more Macs, the Cheaper. Same with iPods. The price is inversely proportional.
    4) The cost of the Mac servicers, this matters too.

    Simply put, international trade != currency conversion.
