Well, well, well. Look what popped up in today's UK iPhone launch:

Now we just need that software update over here... a lot of people could've used this at launch!

Since EDGE will only be in 30% of O2's area that's why you see that extra setting.

U.S. wont see that.
 
And there will still be tools who rack up huge bills.

I hope thats not the case. When I go abroad I would want to diable Edge.
Lets hope it shows up after the update.

How about "I don't think US will see that."

I personally think that it's no big deal to turn it off. AND notice it says Edge ROAMING. Not intended to turn off EDGE on the home network.
