Ok so how many iPhone 16 pro max models did they sell compared to the 15 pro max from 1 year ago?
This information is not disclosed by Apple and hasn’t been since 2018. If you are looking for it, you might be able to get an estimate from the usual suspects such as IDC, CiRP etc.
I have just said to yourself that I buy Apple products but the big difference is I don’t blindly defend them at every opportunity in regards to everything they do unlike some people.
I think where you are going is that some people blindly defend apple and some people blindly criticize apple. But at this point totally off the topic at hand nor really relevant.

Exactly they don’t disclose it all they say is it performed well compared to last quarter.
Hence how they get round it.

Apple pulled the ad because they where promoting something that there iPhones can’t do & that’s just another example of this company promising something that it can’t deliver.

It only started to go off topic because yourself fails to acknowledge any things Apple doesn’t do well at

Apple does what it does. They have been doing it like this for 5 years. If you want to register your feelings about it you can email Apple feedback.

What are other examples and how many things did apple deliver vs what they didn’t. Does any company have a 100% track record?

So basically dealing with opinions at this point.

Excluding AirPower and apple intelligence. AirPower because it was never a product with a release date an apple intelligence because I like it and it is working on my iPhone 15PM.

You proved that companies that try to do things produce a range of products and services that go from wildly successful to successful to selling a few.

I suppose with that list (although I would disagree):
- apple car
- apple vision pro
- homepod
- etc.

What are you on about?

Do you actually know any of they products I mentioned?
They products I listed where all Apple flops & Apple intelligence is currently a flop because they can’t actually release things when it’s supposed to get released.

Just for the record AirPower was announced to get released with iPhone X but got cancelled because they couldn’t make it.

What? Apple intelligence is not a flop. It’s a multi-phased feature release where one feature was delayed. I’m using Apple Intelligence on my 15PM now.

Have a citation for that? It was a fleeting photo in one of the announcements. At any rate, this may be off-the-rails.

After much effort, we've concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project," said Apple's former hardware engineering chief Dan Riccio, in a statement shared on March 29, 2019.

Apple intelligence is a flop because they can’t release things when originally supposed to & are having to remove adverts for it.

Okay I’ll acquiesce, airpower was cancelled. However my overall point still stands - which is all companies produce flops and they learn something from them.

No it’s not a flop. I’m using it right now on my 15PM.
Again your very clever & I see what your doing
What are we doing? Trying to categorize apple products into flops or not?

You might be using it on your 15PM but you’re not using all the things that where promised & that’s why they are having to remove adverts from circulation.

I think I will just leave it there for our little chat.

"reasonable expectations". there are consumer protection laws that say manufacturers can't advertise features that don't exist. Otherwise, any company could advertise crazy futuristic features saying they will come later. It's BS. Apple's intentions were to have AI sooner than later but is failing.

Is iPhone 17 (1 year) or iPhone 18 (2 years) reasonable? Not to people who bought an iPhone 16 based on AI promises. That clearly shows Apple should have waited to announce it on the iPhone 17 or 18.
"Coming soon..." = Undefined future date. "Soon" is a relative term.

For a 2 year old, 1 year is another lifetime. ("Are we there yet?").
For a 20 year old, 1 year is only 5% of its lifetime.

The older you are the shorter the word "Soon" gets.
