What about an older MBP?

I have a much older macbook pro (early 2008 probably) and am having the same issue with flickering whenever it is connected to the 24" cinema display. It did not start out this way, but it does appear to be getting worse with time. I've done some searching but you guys are the only things I can pull up, except one Apple help page that, upon arrival, says no longer exists.

All I want is to be able to use the gorram products I've spent so much money on.

hi there people. Sorry to re-float this thread, but I have one of those displays here to repair...

It's strange cause when you connect it, it makes a flick and goes to black. Everything else works, sound works, usb works with a usb stick, not with the apple usb keyboard (maybe with the keyboard it will work, it happens with some imacs). It is only the led backlight that doesn't work.

Has anyone tried to bake the logic boards? they still cost new at least 100€ the logic board, and 100€ the power unit... Not worthy for a **** display that breaks and costs 300€ second hand...

anywyas, if anyone refloated the logic board or knows a solution, I will be all ears.
