You know exactly what I’m talking about, 5GB of storage for iCloud backups is pathetic in 2026.

Keep in mind that 5GB was introduced at the end of 2011 with the iPhone 4S, so Apple have not given you any extra storage increases for 15 years!

Yep, I suppose Apple could offer no free storage tier and some people might be happier 🙂.
 
iCloud storage is already very expensive with very unhelpful tiers of storage. The step from 2TB to 6TB is particularly egregious. I hope they leave the pricing alone here in the US, but I fear that this may be a naive hope.
 
I wish they would add a new tier between 200GB and 2TB. My family shares our space and would be happier paying half of the 2TB price for a 500GB level.
