For accessibility devices, function must come before form. I would even say that this principle should be applied to all human interface devices.

As an example, let's compare the Apple Magic Mouse to the Logitech M500s I'm using right now:
  • The Apple Magic Mouse looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. It's absolutely gorgeous, it's a piece of art.
It's perfect for social media photos with impossibly clean computer desks. But I wouldn't want to use it for more than a few minutes.
  • The Logitech M500s is not symmetrical. It's kind of weird-looking. I'm especially not a fan of the added silver stripe that accentuates the weird shape. But it's ergonomic. It follows the shape of my hand and fingers. In actual day-to-day use, it's the better choice.
I was also referring to the egregious pricing, not solely the hideous design. $60 for a piece of rubber is ASININE.

Size and Weight

Height: 3.1 in. / 8 cm
Width: 2.3 in. / 5 cm
Very funny, Apple apparently can't decide how to round: 2.3 inches are 5.84 cm, while 3.1 inches are 7.87 cm. And they also forgot to list the weight.

First I though 5 cm can't possibly be right from the pictures, and it won't be compatible with the mini, but apparently it is. Still too expensive though.

1) Apple didn't make this accessory

2) It is a grip designed for people with disabilities

3) Apple didn't set the price of the item since again, they didn't make the item.

Comical. The hate for Apple is so intense...Take time to READ the article instead of assuming this is an Apple Product, like several have in this thread. This ISN'T an Apple Product, it is a product Apple is selling on their website. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
To be fair, I’m guessing most people were too mesmerized by the hands in the photo to read the article.

How about we make phones you can actually hold and use with one hand without needing a monstrosity like that to easily use it? The tech is here to make thin and light phones with good battery life and the iPhone Air proves that. Now MAKE THEM SMALLER!
Did you RTFA? It’s not for you dude. 🤷
