I've received today two of my four replacements (France) From NL Post, no tracking.

Inside each envelope is the replacement plug + a return envelope + a paper telling you the instructions for the return, you just have to put the old piece into the envelope and put it into any mailbox from your local post service...

My two old plugs are already ready to be shipped back.

Mine came the same way. The rep that did the replacement order said that the old adapters did not need to be returned, but that I should just recycle them. So I did. Then I got the replacements with the instructions to return the old parts. I called the rep back and he said not to return them. The order showed no need to return them in his system, that the replacement cost was $0.00, and they didn't have any way to charge me for them if I did not return them. He never took a credit card number for the replacement order, so there would be no way that he could collect. Obviously, I saved all of the paperwork and documented the rep's name and contact info, though I expect nothing will ever come of it.

There are no info identifying your return on the envelope either, I guess it just get sent to the recycling center directly.

Funny fact: New adapters are heavier, "Well Shin" is 23grams, "Volex" is 25grams, the new "EUR" is 30.5grams.

Funnier fact: Just read in a German newspaper that the German (10 mistakes in 2 sentences), French and Italian instructions about how to return the faulty adapters are riddled with mistakes.
"Google translator" was not at work for these. (Would have been even more mistakes)

Looks like Apple has no money or didn't care enough to run this by their local representatives.

FWIW, translate.google.com is one of the worst language translators around... idioms throw it completely off, among other things...

I am sure "idiots" also throw it off completely.

On a serious note, nothing beats professional translations, which is what Apple should have paid for.

I confirm for the French translation, "le" instead of "la" + the text imply you have to use one of your own prepaid envelope rather than the one supplied with the replacement + remove the post box part, just tells you to go to the post office.

I logged my request for three replacements a month ago... still have received nothing in the mail. Emailed Apple, no response. Aren't they meant to have good service? It's hard to tell.

So, to be clear, what you're saying is that if I keep the adaptor head in a rare wooden case, and touch it from time to time, I am likely to get a shock?
