Exactly. which is why with his knowledge, he is exactly the type of person that will give us the means to protect our data.

BL.

Right. I wasn't referring or referencing his knowledge. I was implying a simple observance based on his photo. Nothing more, nothing less. Time to move on Sir.

Possibly, or it is equally possible they will either get the same people to hack into the phone, or use the hack they have already got. Either situation is terrible for Apple, as they have ZERO CONTROL over what happens.

Apple were extremely arrogant to think they were the only ones that could create software to break into an iPhone in the first place. The real factor was not whether it was going to be created, but who created it, and who's hands it would end up in.

Really??? Where did Apple make that claim or exhibit that "arrogance?" Please post a link to that.

Of course he's a legend. Anyone could see that by the pony tail, and the "engineer" shirt, which I am quite certain is button down and short sleeved. :)

when legend status you reach, look as hip you will not...

Long sleeved, French cuffs, collar stays. Jermyn St.

Re Hire?

Those who know Apple understand that re-hiring only occurs when the Cupertino Company is desperate.

This move reeks...

Or when times, and regimes change, prior decisions made on either side of the staffing equation can and should change. Those actually employed by Apple are better prepared to make those sorts of decisions.
Good news.

They didn't think that. Their legal goal was not to prevent disclosure of any criminal information on the phone, but rather to resist an order that would have made them responsible for creating a "hack" into their own product. Exploits happen, whether by malicious parties or at the direction of law enforcement, and the goal is to improve product security to make exploits more difficult.

He's a dodgy looking guy. Almost as bad as if Apple were to hire cyber security expert John McAfee (who's had warrants for his arrest from three different countries, plus the FBI).
I don't get you guys. To me he just looks like a guy, someone who doesn't have to cut his hair for a boss. What are you reacting to? His long hair? His mustache? Glasses? Lack of a smile? There must be an unspoken agenda.

I guess in a country that would seriously consider electing Donald Trump it's not surprising that people judge someone's ability to do a job based solely on their appearance.

Dodgy? Scary? Geez, you guys don't hang around with enough old-school geeks. This guy looks fine! He only lacks a long, Stallman-esque beard. :)
