it all feels like there has been a significan't shift in the collective mindset of the world.

back in the late 80's to the mid 90's, the technological world was innovating for the sake of innovation. There was this golden ideal around it that we were striving forward towards a better future of space travel, medicines to cure everything and happy arm holding circles of international community talking about how life will get easier because of the technologies being invented.

fast forward 10 years.

its money. Money, Money, mOney money.MONEY, MOnEY

Record profit every year or you're a failure.
If you're not first you're last.

Mine mine mine mine mine, i deserve billions, you deserve nothing!

Pharmacy companies stopped researching life saving treatments that weren't profitable. Tech companies stop innovating unless it's profitable. the primary motivator is money and greed.

its one reason why Corporate Apple annoys me so much these days. They almost seem like the prime example of this shift. When Jobs and Woz started their company eons ago, I dont think profit was their primary motivation. They saw a need and a had this desire to get computers out to people for the sake of makign something new. Fast forward to 2014, its pure profit motivated.

I don't like this world very much anymore to be honest. its too cold. too anonymous and too damn greedy.
