There's been a couple folks on here (and other forums) that did some comparison tests and (they) found that the battery-life difference between the 5400RPM and the 7200RPM drives amounted to about 30 minutes.
Regardless, for anyone in the future reading this thread and considering getting an MPB for "professional" use.. do yourself a favor and get the 7200RPM drive and cope with the heat/battery. It makes a BIG difference when you're swapping to the HD (which you will), or reading/writting off the HD.
