AirPort Extreme Update 2008-002

Everything was fine. Installed this new AirPort Extreme Update 2008-002. Now my MacBook Pro can see but cannot connect to my PowerPC G4 by wireless. The PowerPC is seeing and connecting fine with the MacBook Pro. Is anyone having the same trouble - any solution?

What wireless problem? Mine runs perfectly with and older Airport
Extreme bs and Leopard 10.5.4

Go to the Macbook forums on apples site, and you'll see the 100s of threads being locked which discuss this problem.
Go to the 20 page thread in the Mac OS forum on macrumors....its awful service.

The wireless hardware in all the Mac computers is also called Airport and Airport Extreme. What people informally called the "Airport" is properly called an Airport Base Station or Airport Extreme Base Station.

Just mentally replace "Airport" with 802.11b and "Airport Extreme" with 802.11g/pre-n, and it makes a lot more sense.

It's kind of misleading then, that on the Apple page that describes the update, if you follow the "Learn more about AirPort Extreme" link, it takes you to a page that describes the AE base station.

Same here. 10.5.4 on Macbook, Windows XP on Macbook, 10.4.11 on iBook G4, Windows XP on Compaq laptop w/Linksys card - all have zero problems with my saucer AEBS.
