Interesting! Have you tried other ear-tips maybe they don’t fit you the way they supposed to fit snug and comfortable cause for me personally I leave them on the “off” mode just the passive-noise-cancellation and I really can’t hear anything lol.
I have been using the AirPods Pro 2 for years and
I've heard of this happening before. It's not a firmware issue, but a hardware problem. I believe Apple replaced them. Replacement is your best bet. Good luck.
Thank you, but I've already replaced them once due to the crackling noise that appeared. It seems like AirPods are going downhill!

Wrong. Lots of people with the issue on the official Apple discussions. They reduced the ANC due to a lawsuit. It degraded when AirPods Pro 2 came out and the update that followed soon after. People who say there’s nothing wrong have not experienced how good it was on the Gen 1s compared to the Gen 2s so they can’t compare.

Oh boy, here we go again.... "mY nOiSe CaNcElLiNg GoT wAy WoRsE aFtEr ThE uPdAtE...." lol

Sorry to burst your bubble. But many of these issues turned out to be true. There was a full exchange program for AP1 because some models suffered from persistent software issues with transparency and noise cancelling mode. How do I know this?

Because I just had my AP2 replaced because with an update my NC became virtually non existent. The service agent immediately identified the problem according to my description and confirmed that this sounds exactly like the problem that forced Apple to eventually agree to a recall program for the AP1 - no questions asked.

I’ve had my AP2 for 1.5 years and never paid attention to firmware updates, never had any complaints. Then the NC broke with an update and I found out I wasn’t alone.

Oh yeah, because software affects hardware and with a replacement with the same software it gets fixed. Lol…
Now go whine somewhere else, because I was making a joke about that bs and am making one again. Ridicouless

Oh dear. It’s seems like you have don’t actually understand how noise cancelling works. That explains a lot. Please ignore my original comment to your “joke”.
