The new driver and icc profiles for my Epson Stylus Photo 2200 works great. I only had to get used to the new print dialog and to select no color adjustment within the photoshop software (not in the print dialog).

Well I can't install these drivers as everytime I do it breaks my printing. I keep having to not now the install which bugs me.

Printer drivers?!!!

I use an Epson whatever and have NEVER been able to get the wireless printing working due to it's request for a WEP password that despite deep googling, etc., I've never been able to find.
My point is not to find a solution here, but to point out that this is the weakest link in the chain of modern computing in my opinion.
I'm a veteran of 25 years of using Macs, 16 of them...and through the years the piece of hardware I've had the most problems with have been PRINTERS.
I wish Apple would make their own printer again....

Okay, this explains a lot. I had an Epson R1800 and a new MBP and when I updated the driver for the R1800 it cost me two days of hell as I could not get access to the original print drivers and turn off the print color management. I literally gave up and retired my R1800 in disgust.

Then last week I received a new Epson R1900 and loaded the drivers with the disk. It worked perfectly and prints matched... I then did an update Friday and suddenly I lost many of the features and couldn't get a decent print. I tried everything and finally removed it from my computer and reloaded from the disk thinking that the update screwed everything up. It did and all is well now.

That gutenprint driver cost me several days of hell and a new printer. Now the question - how do I keep my computer from loading apples epson updates next time I update my MBP???
