Apple doesn't make much money at all with their consumer apps. They ain't getting rich at $79 a pop. I don't expect a FCS3 build based on Leopard to contain features that pretty much require Snow Leopard.
Ahhh, but you forget about the iPhone apps, or anything to with iPhone. A lot of attention has been diverted to consumer based media and devices because that is now Apples bread and butter. The pro division at Apple doesn't come close to paying the rent and I'm fairly certain that the day is coming that Apple will be a consumer media only company. They will supply digital devices, content, and software for the everyday consumer. Just imagine how much money they make off the iPhone/iPod/iTunes (or anything that starts with an i) and then compare that to what they get for Final Cut Pro and you'll see my point. Even if you add in hardware sales to run Final Cut Studio, it doesn't even come close to the profits made with i consumer products. IMHO.
