Yes. All 30 of you out there that have been able to get your hands on one.

Ah ah ah the queue could be long, but don't worry they sold a lot of these machines considering it is a professional Mac. Only in my shop we have many orders, in a little city in Italy. Clearly demand has been very high considering production volumes.

My 6core Mac Pro is for the last 30 minutes in a grey screen modus.... After this update..

Oh and I got mine on the 14th of february after a few weeks waiting...

(Over here in The Netherlands)

UPDATE:

After downloading the update, a grey screen (normal) appeared, so far so good! Now where is the progression bar voor the update itself... none. Let's wait and get some coffee!
After being away for several minutes, i think about 7, still nothing.. Oops

Waiting.. waiting... 15 minutes, 18 minutes and counting... Call Apple Care..
Of course! Because i have one of the few machines in the world ;) They don't know anything else to say then:
Wait longer ... After 30 minutes, shut down the Mac Pro and turn it on again..

I can't wait, something went wrong, 5 seconds for the power button 5..4..3..2..1.. what if.. I NEED MY MAC PRO, got a lot of work left... turning it on.. 1..2..3 .....grey screen.. progression bar (YEAH!) 6..7.. 11 and liftoff! Yes my Mac Pro boots in 11 seconds, it's alive! (again)

And yes, i called the Apple Care centre again to inform them about it, so next time they aren't 'with a mouth full of teeth'. ;) (Dutch saying)

Arrives Today

I'll get the update installed today as mine is finally scheduled for delivery today. Ordered it on Dec. 30. Fifty-nine day wait. Took the day off to get it set up and going, etc. We'll see how it goes. It has been a long wait.

Didn't have any problems with mine - Mac rebooted, screen went grey and fan blew at full for about 5 seconds and then it rebooted again to Mavericks

Could we move discussion on delivery to fitting threads and not fill this one with off topic galore?

+1

Broke USB connections via ThunderBolt Display

My nMP was working fine, but after this update my USB devices plugged into either of my two Thunderbolt displays are not recognized. Now I have to plug them directly into the nMP.

Update: shutting down, unplugging the displays for a minute, then replugging and booting up fixed this issue.

I too ordered a 12-core, D700 on Jan. 1... Looks like my CC was charged last night but I've yet to see any kind of shipment notification. Has your CC at least been charged? I wonder if it will arrive by the 28th or just ship by the 28th?

My CC was charged for the AppleCare three days ago. I called Apple as to verify what the charge was since it listed "Apple Online", they informed me it was the AppleCare which indicated it should be shipping in the next few days. Well, there's one more day in February and nothing yet, although I've been informed it will arrive this month.

UPDATE: Heads up, an Apple rep from a Texas area code phoned me around 3:30 and informed me that my Mac Pro would not be shipping in February (obviously now) and is delayed any where from 7-14 days. I couldn't speak further on the matter with the rep, but I just phoned customer care and after confirming the delay she refunded me the price of my keyboard and trackpad. They have been receiving a lot of calls regarding delays. OT, as I used to work for Apple Corp (marketing), I know the pains they go to in helping clients. I asked if I could write to thank her for going out of her way, and she offered to have her supervisor speak with me. Afterwards, he refunded me the AppleCare.

So there you. :)

The firmware upgrade may have fixed the issues I had with my nMP, like unresponsive mouse/trackpad, Thunderbolt Display and USB devices. It got so bad that I had to do a hard restart twice a day...

But then again, it may also have been fixed by reinstalling OS X, as AppleCare told me to do on the very day the new firmware was released...

Now trouble free for two days, oh the joy!
