It’s rated at the same battery life as my iPhone 16 Plus. I use my phone all day long and I’ve never dropped below 45% in a day.

THE MISCHARACTERIZATIONS NEED TO STOP!
Doesn’t the iPhone Air accomplish to is with one less speaker, two less cameras, no LiDAR but a slightly larger screen depending on which iPhone 16 Pro size it’s being compared with.

The most interesting thing about this product is it's basically a case study in wireless charging inefficiency. Literally the exact same battery, but only adds 65% charge.

On paper this actually seems like a decent product, but limiting it to only the Air was an interesting choice.

Would have been great if we were able to know what is changing with these firmware updates to batteries/chargers. Don't know whether the update helps with some form of thermal management.

Nice accessory. That's one way of stopping the wobble.

The iPhone Air MagSafe Battery offered for an obscene price reveals Apples shameless greed.

Notice the power and influence they wield over the faithful who eagerly ordered this product some of who just couldn't wait to give their money to Apple. The fattening of the behemoth revenue generator continues.

Still shocked at the utter stupidity of releasing a MagSafe battery designed for a specific model, and one that might exist for only two years.
I'm still trying to figure out why they even made it. My iPhone Air is easily the longest lasting iPhone I’ve ever had.

They should have just revised the old MagSafe battery, maybe made it a little larger as it doesn’t need to accommodate the minis anymore.

Battery life is not poor, as is the same as my 16 Pro or maybe even a little better. People that keep saying that are clueless. Amazing they built a larger/thinner phone and still have the same or better battery life than a 16 Pro and not much worse than a 17 Pro.

And the MagSafe battery accessory is not overpriced, as I purchased from Walmart for $59. Not much different than the nearest competitor Anker’s battery pack and would rather have Apple’s.
Unfortunately, the people who feel the need to buy the pro models to make themselves feel better about life have taken it upon themselves to try and mock the air in every thread because the Air is more premium than the pro and just better looking in every way.

This is what happens when you link your whole social status to a phone.

Indeed - if anything, the Air is the phone which should require a MagSafe the LEAST, compared with any other iPhone. Absolutely fantastic battery life, which is a logical outcome of it being so thin, devoid of superfluous crap and energy-efficient.

You know that the video playback and the like are optimized by the chip right? So that’s like some optimistic EV range which is never achievable.
It’s a standardized measurement. Obviously no one watches 27 hours of videos straight at 50% screen brightness and whatever volume level…but the point is it allows each device to be measured in the same way. And it doesn’t matter if there are chip optimizations…it’s to allow models to be compared to one another. Therefore, the iPhone Air achieves the same battery rating as the 16 Plus, which has been a great experience for me, however that translates into actual daily use, which was the point of my comment.

What could your point possible be? If users don’t care about those features, and are happy with the Air, they’ll still enjoy the battery life…..folks are REALLY stretching to try to make this device sound bad lmao. Really strange, I wonder why it is….

Is your post what happens when an Air owner has to justify their purchase of a not-so-well selling iPhone model that may not see a 2nd generation because it's not "premium" (whatever your definition of that is) enough?

My Air lasts TWO days in its original battery - why the hell would anyone need to buy that ridiculous hump?
My 17 Pro Max barely makes it a full day. I’m a little underwhelmed.
I'm still using the Lightning iteration of the Mag Safe Battery pack, discontinued over two years ago (still going strong). I cannot recall there having been a firmware update on that particular unit but my memory ain't what it used to be...sadly.
It did have firmware updates. One of them was fairly significant, helping it charge a bit cooler.
