I feel your pain. I’m on 15.7 and I’m choosing to wait but the lack of complaints from my friends and family make me want to install 16.0 now. It’s very easy not to check for updates but since I know it’s there I feel drawn to it 😭

The device specific ones that had light/dark mode versions. Real bummer they removed those.
yea, I liked those too. I did find the moving colored bubbles ones though. They go from light to dark mode surprisingly.
I’ll hang fire in case it’s not released for 14 Pro Max and can’t restore my backup Friday.
I expect an iOS 16.0.1 first before iOS 16.1. iOS 16.0.1 will correct the issues that users of iOS 16.0 reported so far.
I wish they bring back battery percentage to the lock screen while device is charging. Don’t understand why they had removed it in the first place.
My phone NEVER gets hot under any circumstances. Have Apple replace your phone before it catches on fire.
My iPhone X was very warm, and the UI was jerky for the first couple days -- especially when charging wirelessly but even otherwise. Now it's been cool and more responsive than before the upgrade. Some of this is normal as the phone completes a bunch of tasks with the upgrade. I wonder this time if they had the phone look for duplicate photos even on battery and that the phone completed that task and went back to normal (along with other indexing tasks). They shouldn't do it on battery, but that's my best guess. Hopefully you'll have a similar resolution in time. It didn't find many duplicate photos in that process as I had completed the process on my iPad Pro with the beta weeks ago.
yeah battery is definitely worse. I've seen it worse on 13 pro max, 13 pro and XS max
So far I haven't noticed nearly as many issues with 16.0 as I did with 15.0. Still the .1 release always brings better stability.
ohhh so that’s why my iPad on the public beta said it was up to date with 16.1
Now my iTunes sync pauses every time and ask for my passcode on my iPhone.

Best to change the notification setting ‘Display As’ to ‘List’. You'll get them all on screen at once rather than stacked.
thanks withitnow but even on list notifications look horrific. They just dont fall onto the screen properly. You have to constantly swipe up to show notifications.
