Apple today provided public beta testers with the first releases of upcoming iOS 26.2, iPadOS 26.2, tvOS 26.2, and watchOS 26.2 updates for testing purposes. The public betas come two days after Apple provided the betas to developers.

After signing up for beta testing on Apple's beta site, public beta testers can download the updates using the Software Update section in the Settings app on each device.

iOS 26.2 adds a Liquid Glass slider for the Lock Screen, allowing you to customize the translucency of the clock. Alongside watchOS 26.2, the update changes labeling for the Sleep Score feature, adjusting numbers to better reflect sleep quality.

AirPods Live Translation is available in the European Union with iOS 26.2, and in the Reminders app, there's an option to have an alarm go off when a reminder is due. Apple also added new features to Podcasts, Passwords, Freeform, and more, with a full list of new additions available in our iOS 26.2 feature guide.

Swiping up to go to home is a little rough on the M5 iPad Pro 26.1 atm, icons disappear and then fill the screen. This happens intermittently.

Even on the iPadOS public beta since it started, 26 that is, my iPad is running fine and for my usage I have no issues/concerns.
I won't continue on the PB though as I don't want to deal with the weekly or bi-weekly updates anymore.
I am quite happy with all 26 rleases in all my devices

I can’t get the lock screen Liquid Glass slider to show up. I’ve tried apple stock wallpapers, making sure motion and dynamic are on. Any suggestions? Running iOS 26.2 on 17 Pro Max.

Remember that 26.2 won't be officially release until next year, so if you're going to travel or away from a restoring-capable device, be careful
You can update, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this release. No anxiety required 🤦‍♂️

Carplay now has stacks. Also photos has been added.

That's a shame for the most powerful iOS device. I'm seeing some redraws of the outline around folder icons on my m3 air.

has anyone else had problems with safari in ios 26 dimming or putting a haze over a webpage when using the onscreen keyboard to the point where you can barely see what you are typing? this seems like a pretty severe and basic functionality problem...wtf?!

.2 (public release) is my time each year to upgrade on my personal devices. Great that it often coincides with the holidays. Until then, 18.7.2 is peachy.

At my work in schools? For security reasons they force everything onto .0 immediately haha

I need a slider to make transparency between ios 26 and ios 18, locked to ios 18 pls :). Recent change in 26.1 is only for notifications transparency.
