Hey everyone,

I'm not a tech guru like many here, my only technology background would be that I am a 65 year old retired pilot. I use a MacBook pro that I love, it has never given me an ounce of issues ever, even after updates.

So I ask...What in GODS name is going on with Apple and the never ending chasing the tail with bad updates and "bug fixes"?! This seems to apply to anything iOS, iPads, Watches. From my point of view, Apples is struggling and lately I have seen some diehard Apple fans throwing in the towel 😩

To honest, people who dont know what a Beta programme is complaining about bugs in Beta's, is why they are designed for technically literate users, who dont install the beta on day to day or production devices or if they do, understand that Beta's have bugs and some of them are show stoppers, and that if they find a bug they have to report it..

It sounds like to be brutal you shouldn't be using a Beta IOS or MAC OS if you dont undertstand this and need to stick to the RC versions of software.

Hi Mozzamobile,

I considered trying the beta version a couple weeks ago, but decided against it. The bugs I am speaking of are in every version of the regular public updates. I posted here in this topic as it is currently addressing beta versions in a feeble attempt to correct the mess that is iOS 26.

When iOS 26.something lets me turn off Liquid Glass completely, then I'll upgrade. Until then, iOS 26 is a downgrade from iOS 18.
(Just got an update on 18, to 18.7.2: security fixes.)
