Alongside iOS 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, and macOS Tahoe 26.3, Apple has released new HomePod 26.3 software for the HomePod and the HomePod mini. The update comes two months after Apple released HomePod Software 26.2.

According to Apple's release notes, HomePod Software 26.3 includes performance and stability improvements.

‌HomePod‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ software is installed automatically on the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌HomePod‌‌‌ unless the feature is disabled‌‌‌‌, but the ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌HomePod‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ can also be manually updated in the Home app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac by tapping on the More button, choosing Home Settings, and then selecting the Software Update option.

My HomePod mini's keep saying network issue even after a restart. They were working fine last night, what a pain.

Edit: This weirdly fixed itself after updating my iPad to 26.3, now they're updating and connecting normally. Strange.

Update hasn't fixed the audible stutter when ambient sounds like white noise loop every minute. Has been a problem since 26.2. Not even sure why white noise is a looped recording, something like that can be procedurally generated...

I hope this fixes the issue where my HomePod stops listening to me halfway through my statement. Increase volume to... What did you say. Increase what?

The 26 update has really not gone well on my original 4kATV. Endlessly waiting for the new model. And who knows how related to the HP it might be.

Siri, volume 22.
Increase volume to 100? (She repeatedly does this. Is this some departed engineer's idea of a joke??? I'm not laughing)

Siri, add bananas to the shopping list
Who's speaking? (Me, the only MALE in the house!)

Siri, volume 40 (previously told to play music on the HomePod's in kitchen using Siri on the HomePods)
(iPad also in kitchen responds "I'll speak louder" - HomePods in kitchen keep playing at previous level).

I'm not so sure it is a good idea to re-use the Siri name...

I think they are working on New Pods for sure, because like 5 years or whatever HomePods working great not ONE ISSUE, and then as we all know the week before a "release" soft/hard, the OS start getting wonky. I had all of them have network issues Gen 1 and Minis, just ALL had network issues... couldn't not fix... we'll see and will report!

I don't know if it was updating my (latest gen) AppleTV, which was my "HomeHub", to 26.3 or updating the individual HomePods themselves, but we're all good in the neighborhood! No network issues, no can't connect to HomeHub etc. I think it was the updating the HomeHub tho, i.e. AppleTV, because right when I did that and it booted, all kinds of Home stuff chimed in so...

I don't see a 26.4 thread so posting here: Updating to the new public beta may have borked my mini, or may just coincidence. First it was suddenly having account-connection issues, now it won't even show up when I plug it into my Mac. Any suggestions? Can't even find a way to restore it now.
