Happy to see this feature. Might come in handy sometimes. I use Safari as my primary browser.

It doesn't ask that often on Chrome. It does ask every time you close the browser or put the computer to sleep, or after a day.

It's still annoying.

I get that. I balanced it by not storing my email, Apple or primary bank password in the passwords app. Those three are memorized.
1Password asks once every two weeks, and uses fingerprint or face detection in between. This is good because my 1Password is very long, as it should be.

I've been using this extension for a few months now. It works very well, except I have to enable it and enter the 6-digit-code every day or so. Just updated to Apple's release of it - It looks like Apple's made some improvements to it already. Very nice!

Thank god for this.

Apple buy Mozilla next month and replace safari with Firefox please.

I just tried it out. It will autofill passwords that already exist but it won't let you generate passwords inside Firefox, you have to open the Passwords app or do it inside Safari.

If it can't generate passwords and save them all without leaving Firefox it's massive downgrade from Lastpass or most other cross platform password managers.

Too late. Bitwarden is better and supports many more platforms and browsers
I wouldn’t use Apples password manager, 3rd party is the way to go.
1Password is even better.
Really? What this even called for? As a 1Password user myself, I’m just happy to see people use a password manager no matter which one they use. It’s all in preferences and taste.

You can create custom entries with text notes in iCloud Passwords
Can you? I don't see a dedication option for this, unless you're just creating a new Login, and putting data into the "Notes" section of it?

Or am I missing that option in the Passwords app? It does exist in the Keychain, but we're talking about just the new Passwords app, right?

Works flawlessly for me. I have well over 1,000 passwords stored. It is much faster and less glitchy than my previous NordPass solution.

No, because they will make it iOS/Mac only.
Maybe not, but they would definitely end continued support for Manifest v2, so you wouldn't be able to run the full uBlock Origin any more. As it is, non-EU versions of Firefox for iOS/iPadOS are already crippled by being forced to use Webkit instead of Gecko.

I wonder if they’ll take the next step and release the Passwords app on Android…

Argh, lack of a Windows version makes this kind of useless. I use Safari on MacOS and Firefox on Windows, so it's Windows where this would be useful.

This isn’t available for windows? Because I just google searched it and it came up as being from Apple. So what did I just install?

Has anyone had any issues with this extension on the latest version of Firefox? It could've been Firefox's latest update itself but since then I've had issues where it becomes unbearably slow and it listed the iCloud extension as the culprit, which I thought was peculiar.
