Apple Releases iLife Support 9.0.1 and iPhoto 8.0.1 Updates

OTOH, iPhoto 8.0.1 updater said it is not for me (although I have iPhoto 08). Software updater didn't show me this either.

I got tricked by this too, I have iPhoto08 but was told I don't qualify for running the 8.0.1 update when I tried to install...sigh.

Although, I thought it too good to be true that Apple would give me a free update after all these pop up advertising attempts to get me to upgrade to iLife09 failed. Good to know there are no Apple viruses...except those designed by Apple, of course!

I ended up installing it. Doesn't seem to break anything so far.

They should offer free iLife upgrades for people who have purchased it within 12 months of the new version becoming available, and then a reduced cost ($50?) for upgraders beyond 12 months.
