Every single bug I have with text replacement and safari offline reading list that became broken with iOS 10 still remains broken. This, despite multiple reports and tickets with Apple.

Pathetic. Rapidly falling out of love with this company.

Funny how Apple pushes updates for everything at the same time.

I can only assume they want to stress test their infrastructure and that's why they do it like this.

Since iOS shares code and functionality with MacOS, Apple Watch and Apple TV it makes sense to release it all at once.

Some 0 byte data randomly appear even when the websites were not visited although it can be deleted but still bothering me.
0 byte cookies still persist in this update <sigh>Although the 4GB of 'Other' has vanished, not sure if that's the iTunes update reading things properly or the update itself.

I have a 5S. Runs iOS 10 beautifully for such an old device. Even the 5/5C run it nicely.

No longer is the latest OS on the oldest supported device a performance nightmare. Certainly a far cry from iOS 7 on the iPhone 4.
Same here, iPhone 5S is perfect! :) (definitely nothing like iOS7 on the iPhone 4, which my wife still has and it is awful).

No need to upgrade if the phone works well. I am not going to upgrade because everyone else does. It's a great shape, form and perfect screen size as well.

Same for the Apple Watch S0, works well, looks amazing! Obviously 10 years later I will have something else but for now, the S0 and 5S is perfect :)

For some it seems to be fixed and some it still persists.
Do you sync safari with other iOS/MacOS devices?

Another update which will undoubtedly slow the phone down and push people more towards the new iPhone.

Haha. Me and the GF had a laugh about this when we saw the update. I said, "How much slower do you think they've made all old iOS devices this time?"

I wonder if they take bets about how much they can purposely slow down an old device with a new update.

Erm, watch what you say. You know Apple employees and developers do frequent these forums? Don't give Apple an excuse to slow down your device!

If it's been anything like the last few updates it should have actually sped the device up.

My 6S was stuttering and being a little sluggish with some things, I had considered restoring it. Will give this update a while and see how it goes before the blitz option.

Before you do that, just try the 'Reset all settings' option first. This worked for me after all the betas had caused slowdown and a battery issue.

I wasn't using the betas, just normal 10.3.1. But will give it a try first next time. Cheers.

I just hope it will let me have a successful iCloud backup. It never finishes for me, has failed ever since 10 came out. Even done a complete reinstall from scratch with no restore, no help. Fingers crossed, installing now.

I had this same issue. I had purchased the 50g of storage and my iCloud backups were always failing. I called Apple tech support and after days of back and forth with them having me try different things, sending data reports from the phone, it getting escalated, and engineers looking into it, they finally fixed it on the backend. I have no idea what they did because they tend to be vague about such things.

It has worked without a hitch since, but it really took hours of being on the phone with them and days for the engineers to sort out what was happening. Maybe they are now aware of the problem/fix. Good luck to you with getting it resolved.

Discovered, I assume from this update, that I can now play my Music Videos on my iPhone again. It's been a long time since I've been able to do that through the Music app. Quite awhile ago, after one of the updates, Music could see my Music Videos but would not play them. Very happy to have that functionality back.

Yes I do. I sync with my iMac. Even if I don't for a long time though it still appears with certain websites, google being one of the main culprits for me.

"I never update my computer or my phones, all they want is to slow your phone down so you buy a new phone"

Google history:

- how to remove WannaCrypt
- What is BitCoin?
- Why is my bank account empty?

And Googled with Mac and iOS devices...

Seriously... All my Windows and Android phones are safe and sond. I have zero concern with Windows and Android if I am being careful.

Yet, Microsoft released updates to Windows XP.

How about Apple. Apole won't update your old software at all. When bad things happen to Mac or iOS, Apple fans blaming users first. Apple fans never blaming Apple for not updating old software.

I don't sync with any devices, maybe that has something to do with it?
I know that the persistant cookies or supercookies is a problem on Safari on MacOS, and since they share code, I'm guessing this is something that might have been adressed in the lastest patch for MacOS (10.12.5).

So update the Mac as well and see it that solves it. My logic here is that if you can't delete the cookies on Safari on the Mac they will sync to your i-device.

Another option is to stop syncing and see if you can delete the web data from your iOS device.

Let the world know what your findings are :)

Well what can i say? i learnt my lesson with my old Galaxy S3 came with Android 4.0.4 and updating it to jelly bean just killed it.

I'm not suggesting that everybody should do the same however as i said i'm just fine.

However i don't neglect new updates on my other Apple devices my ipod touch 6 and ipad air 2 have both ios 10.3 installed. The first one being a battery mess (someone should demand Apple for that device) and the air 2 with a less battery performance compared to previous ios versions so...
What happened with your S3? My battery life was cut in half, GPS was so far off it was unusable and I use it a lot. I swapped to a 6 Plus when that happened. It was my first Apple product.

Still not a word on the supercookies or permanent cookies bug.
When will we be able to DELETE the internet history (website data) from our phones Apple?

Does anyone know if they have fixed the delete website data bug in this release?

The NSA can't track your browsing history/habits as easily if you are allowed to delete it. So consider this an NSA feature.

After Vault7 leaks, I don't understand why everyone isn't flocking to update first and worry about everything else after

Its Apple's recent history with releasing buggy updates and removing functionality. It is not a given anymore that Apple releases contain more good than bad.
