X apparently comes with 11.1 so yes it would be wise to update your current device so there are no issues with the iCloud backup/restore process.
Never happeningApple needs to focus less on emoji and more on things that matter, like bringing back the 3.5mm headphone jack.

It comes with 11.0.3.
Nope.Does this resolve the emoji keyboard issue where the emoji keyboard covers up the text input area of the app?
I want an Octopus Animoji so I can cos play Dr. Zoidberg from Futurama.
For those worried- It shouldn't be an issue. I've bought many new iPhones with old iOS .0xx versions and "iCloud restore" will just make you download the most recent iOS version first, and then automatically continue the restore process.Does anyone have any links to one of the pre-release testers who confirm this conflicting info please?

Hmm interesting in the WIFI Krack info. See the "Available for" section. All say 5s and later EXCEPT the wi-fi Krack says iP7 and later and only a few iPads. Hoping this is a typo.

Regardless, they wouldn't release 11.1 today if the X came with 11.0.3, as if that were the case then you wouldn't be able to restore your 11.1 iCloud backup to the X during the out-of-box experience. No way Apple would make you do the 11.1 update first before being able to restore your backup.Does anyone have any links to one of the pre-release testers who confirm this conflicting info please?
Do we really need this comment 75 times in the thread....fact is the average user loves emoji and it’s a tangible feature for most since the messages app is the most used app. Finally new emojis, thats what matters most... yehaaa
on my iPad it showed up, but not my iPhone. In both cases had beta 5, so not sure whats going onHow come it shoes up in software update then? Yes I removed the profile, but if it was the same I should be up to date...
Nope, but adding this to the top line says it all.Because visual designers have something to do with software development?
So I will need a new beta profile when 11.2 goes on pb?
Why do people put things like “more than seventy”? Can’t they count any higher? “There were only seven of us in the office and we ran out of fingers.”
I once saw “more than 5 new features.”
Perhaps says something about what the majority of typical customers might be attracted to or care about, but that's about it.Nope, but adding this to the top line says it all.
Yes, conspiracies are the approach to most things in life.Apple's new strategy: take away basic features that I'm used to, love, and take for granted (e.g. 3D Touch app switcher), and then bring them back at a later time so that I'm excited and grateful.
I wonder what features they'll take away in 12.0 and then bring back well over a month later if we're lucky.
