Apple today released the second public beta of iOS 11.2.5 to its public beta testing group, one week after seeding the first public beta and one week after releasing iOS 11.2.1, an update that addressed a HomeKit vulnerability. Today's beta is identical to the beta that was provided to developers yesterday.

Beta testers who are members of Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 11.2.5 beta update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on an iOS device.

Those who want to join the beta testing program can sign up on Apple's beta testing website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, and tvOS betas. iOS betas are not always stable and should not be installed on a primary device.

No new features were discovered in the first two developer betas of iOS 11.2.5, so it's not entirely clear what new features this beta introduces.

It's possible it focuses primarily on security improvements and bug fixes, and if that's the case, we may not know the extent of what's in the update until it sees a public release complete with detailed release notes.

Is there an official Apple site where Apple announces public beta releases? (like for developers)

got latest stable version of iOS 11 on my 6S and I can't back up your findings (but I got my battery replaced through the Replacement Program last year, so maybe thats the reason everything working so smooth o_O)
I had my battery replaced to, so my iPhone is fast enough to run it. Lmao.

I put iOS11 on it previously and it failed to load webpages over LTE and took forever to load apps. Needless to say, I put 10.3.3 back on.

I have IOS 11 running on my 5s and don't have any issues besides it being slower than my iphone x.
Maybe you should replace the battery. I hear that speeds up the phone.

I did. My phone would not load anything over cellular. Watching Safari load web pages took my phone to a crawl.. it was like watching a glacier melt.

Fixed a bug where I was unable to invite users that were not on beta to the Home app. Hopefully it also fixed the location based automations!

Is the new update fix the wake up by power button that it is not response from first click sometime

Does it fix the 'clicking' haptic bug when dismissing control centre?

I’m running this beta on an iPhone X and I’m not experiencing a clicking haptic bug when I dismiss control center. However, I do not remember experiencing this bug on the previous beta, or the latest official release.

Seems like the 5s is performing fine based on what was mentioned. Doesn't appear that there's an issue to try to resolve there.

The definition of "it's not a bug, it's a feature" :apple:
What's all that about again (in relation to iOS 11.2.5 beta 2 public release)?

Thanks. Can you please try to (with sound on, not silent) open control centre. Then dismiss it from Home swipe up. Do this 3/4 times and hear click or soft haptic?

I (and all my colleagues) hear a click on 11.2.1

Introduced in 11.2

Around 90 mb on iPad Pro and just over 100 on iPhone X indicates basic minor tweaks.
Or potentially a little more than that given that some bug fix updates were in the range of around 30 MB.

Sure.

Invoked then dismissed control center about 10 times. Get a soft haptic when I dismiss (by swiping up from home). Never an audible click. The soft haptic seems like normal behavior, since I have system haptics on in settings.

However, then I went into settings and turned system haptics OFF. And I still get a soft haptic when I dismiss control center. That doesn't seem intentional. On the other hand, if it's a bug, it's the least annoying bug ever, in my opinion.

I hope some of this helps. Good luck!

Mine has never made an audible sound. The haptic impulse is by design, but it's not making a sound. Tried with volume turned to maximum. All system sounds (keyboard clicks, lock screen) turned on.

Nothing.

Relax. I can confirm the abnormal (audible) haptic feedback is now fixed when swiping the home bar to exit from the Control Center (with the mute switch disabled).
