Struggling to see what Apple confirmed this being a bug?So it was a bug.... not an intentional block to third party repairs.. conspiracy theorists will be upset haha.
And I thought it's a problem of my 6s Plus. The bug where you can't 3D-touch for a second or so after unlocking is still there.
I wonder if this isn't a bug, but rather a workaround to fix another bug. It seems like an obvious issue and it makes no sense, programming-wise, that it would happen accidentally.
Essentially that's what you'll be getting with IOS12, just a new number. There won't be massive changes, unfortunate for me.. I wanted interface changes, but those are on the back burner.. for the most part.Would be nice for Apple to forgo major feature releases for 6 to 12 months and continue its work on bug fixes.
This was for the display. I thought all the previous discussions was regarding Touch ID which seems to be deliberately locked. Could be other parts still locked intentionally. So it was a bug.... not an intentional block to third party repairs.. conspiracy theorists will be upset haha.

they are just trying, as alwaysThat would be a a dumb theory, since iOS 11 had a similar bug but with iPhone 6s, and it was fixed in 11.0.3. Why would they do it once, for a very specific model, then revert it, then do it again for a different model, then revert it again?
After installing on my 10.5 iPad Pro everything was VERY slow, it took a while to get everything working OK again, but now the transitions are super smooth. I think there is also a new animation for Control Center.

Settings-General-Accessibility-Display Accommodations-Auto-Brightness toggle.
One of the doctors I work with had the same complaint, but the toggle had been moved in an update for some odd reason. Took me a few minutes to find that thing again. If its not there then I guess it had to be something with the screen being replaced which would be really weird.

What about the "bug" with that you cannot use the new battery health feature with 3rd party batteries? Haha.
Apple today released iOS 11.3.1, the thirteenth official update to the iOS 11 operating system.
This explains everything wrong with iOS 11.

Sorry but this sounds like hardware issue, I think they didn’t connect sensor properly. Just a guess.I wonder if this will fix the auto-brightness bug that propped up after replacing my iPhone 6's screen (wherein the auto-brightness toggle totally disappears from its place within Settings.) Will report back.
EDIT: No it did not.
And iOS 10 and 9 and 8 had a bunch of updates too...as do most other OS's and apps these days especially. Doesn't really say that much one way or another, aside from that that's more of what's fairly typical these days.Apple today released iOS 11.3.1, the thirteenth official update to the iOS 11 operating system.

What about iOS 11.0.3 or iOS 9.2.1?Apple claim it was a bug. It was a shot across the bow to repair shops and their future customers.
I had noticed FaceID being somewhat less responsive with 11.3. Will be interested in whether 11.3.1 fixed it.
