I never had Wifi issues but cell data has been terrible. When I'm not on wifi, only iMessage and Facebook work, the rest all say no internet access. Not sure what's up with that. My wife updated her phone and has the same behavior. My co-worker as well. Not sure why I'm not seeing more complaining about this. We all have T-Mobile.

I hope this update addresses that issue because as of now, when I'm not on wifi, my phone is basically useless for data. Already tried reset network settings, it fixes the issues temporarily and then it comes right back. A reboot may or may not fix it for a little while as well. No carrier updates waiting to be installed.
Absolutely seeing that. Zero cell data besides Messages. Can’t stream Apple Music, etc.

Heck, right now I can’t even update because it thinks I’m on cellular when I’m clearly not. Looks like I’ll have to install this one via Finder.

UPDATE: Took forever on update requested screen but it started downloading minutes in. Either way, the “you’re not on a Wi-Fi network, do you want to download on celluar” pop up dialog was there.

UPDATE 2: Cell data is back baby!!

Wifi issue is still there for me. Happens frequently that I go to refresh a webpage and it wont load. Toggle wifi off, loads fine over cell, turn it back on and it continues to work until the issue recurs later on.

Odd. No issues before this update. I update to 16.1.1 and now I have no data except on WiFi. Fantastic…

Edit: Resetting Network Settings fixed it for now.

Mine has also been working fine after 16.1.1 update. Hopefully this resolved it for good :)

For some reason, iOS 16.1.1 has actually reintroduced the Wi-Fi bug on my iPhone 12 Pro. I had it on iOS 16.0.x, it was fixed in iOS 16.1, and now it's happening again on 16.1.1.

I have an Iphone 13 pro max. I'm still facing battery drain issues since 16.0.1, before I updated the battery's life was around 24 hours without activation of "low power mode".

Now, my iphone is warming up and sometimes it stops charging because of temperature. My workaround to deal with this issue, I'm activating "low power mode" and sometimes my iphone hits 18 to 24 hours, but I have to avoid playing youtube or opening facebook app less than I used to do before the update.

does anyone know if it is posible to downgrade?

Finally battery drain is gone!! 🙌🙌 going to bed after a full day of usage with 15% on my 14 Pro! That’s unheard of for me, used to get to 20% by 4pm. It’s actually been years since I’ve had such a long day of battery life! Hopefully here to stay.

Not sure what’s going on with 16.1 and 16.1.1 but since Monday morning my 13 mini has refused to charge or connect and sync with my MacBook Pro. I erased the whole phone and that at least got it charging again if haphazardly. I have to unplug the the USB-A or C and the lightning port a couple of times to get it to charge, when it does connect to the MacBook, it shows a green charging battery but the MacBook won’t register that it’s connected so I can’t even sync over WiFi.
Not being funny but I think iOS 16.1 has some issues, rock solid before this

Never had the WiFi issue before. Updated to 16.1.1 today and WiFi does not work at all. This is my first time experiencing any issues with an Apple update. Resetting network settings also did not fix WiFi.

They finally fixed the iPadOS UI bug
which UI bug did you encounter?

I had the issue of random black screens of death or the UI just freezing up completely. with all the performance improvements, it was ironically the most unstable iOS release ever.

Apple needs to do better in their release notes. Seriously, vague stuff just doesn’t cut it.

yeah, I, too, would love to see a detailed list of fixes to get some assurance the update addresses/fixes my primary concern.

Apple today released iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1, minor bug fix updates that that come two weeks after the launch of iOS 16.1, an update that added support for iCloud Shared Photo Library, Matter, Live Activities, and more.

iOS-16.1.1-Feature.jpg

The iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1 updates can be downloaded on eligible iPhones and iPads over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

iOS 16.1.1 fixes a few unspecified bugs that iPhone users have been dealing with, according to Apple's release notes. Users have been afflicted with widespread Wi-Fi bug, for example. The Wi-Fi bug resulted in random disconnects, with some users unable to stay connected to their Wi-Fi networks.

It is not clear if the Wi-Fi bug is fixed as Apple did not provide a specific list of bug fixes, instead only saying that the update "includes bug fixes and security updates."

iOS 16.1.1 will be followed by iOS 16.2, an update that is being beta tested and is expected to see a launch in December. iOS 16.2 introduces the Freeform app, new Home app architecture, and other features.

16.1.1 just broke car play for me. 16.1 did not, but this one did. WTAF Apple.

After updating my 14 pro max and 14 plus battery health got down to 99% with in 50 plus odd days. And these are not my daily driver i hardly use these.
Its strange.
