After updating my iPhone Xs to iOS 16.5, my Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter doesn’t work. For some reason, the adapter no longer passes power, so my phone doesn't charge, and the Apple USB Ethernet adapter triggers a "Cannot Use Accessory" alert because it draws too much power. I've tested two different camera adapters, two different Phone USB cables, and two different iPad power adapters without any luck. Rebooting the phone multiple times hasn't helped, either. The Camera Adapter works fine on 2 other iPhones still running 16.4.1 (a).

The USB 3 Camera Adapter is hardware version 1.0.0 with firmware version 1.0.5.

Same here.

iPhone 14 Pro and iPad Pro (10.5") don't charge anymore through the USB 3 Camera Adapter. The USB connection works – only the power isn't "accepted". It charges regularly an AirPods case or an iPhone with older iOS.

Gosh, wonder if the new Google pad will have such OS support it's entire usable life (as in, not physically broken, not just when Google loses interest or needs a new round of purchases).

Dumped an Android pad for my drone because of that, and the iPad Mini is still going strong with updates years after the Samsung RhoidPad went 'unsupported'.

I had this same issue. It would play...but it would then reboot the head unit in my truck (2020 Tundra) every 2 minutes. Did it with any cable....until I reverted to iOS 16.4.1.
Having the same issue with my 2020 Tundra!

My USB 3.0 camera adapter passes power to a 1st gen iPad Pro with the new update. During my test my 11W power block no longer provides enough power. I had to use an 18w power block with the required USB-C to Lightning cable.
