Can anyone confirm if 18.7.4 is available for iPhone 13 devices still on the iOS 18 branch?
Confirmed that iOS 26.2.1 appears but no security updates for iOS 18. I also have an iPhone 13. Not a cool move Apple. I have no problems with iOS 26 except it turns my iPhone 13 into mush where it takes 1-2 seconds for icons to appear on the screen. That's why I dropped back and iOS 27 even if it supports the iPhone 13 will not be any better.

Just a heads up! If your iPhone can run iOS 26 but you decided to stay put on a previous release of iOS. It appears Apple will not send you an update for a previous release. My iPhone 13 is staying on iOS 18 because iOS 26 caused my phone to slowdown and the iPhone 13 only has 4GB of RAM. I dropped back down to iOS 18 before Apple stopped signing iOS 18.

I see iOS 26.2.1 available but not iOS 18.7.4
I don’t see the new 26 update

can we get something like private space - a fully separate partition? "hide with faceID" is weak - the apps are still on the same partition and are still running from the same user space.

I'm on 26.3 PB, so no way to get extended precision location until a new PB or DB is released?!

Had been like that since 18.7.3.
We had to use the workaround to get 18.7.3 by going public beta. Then Apple shut that door like a day or two later...

It’s interesting as my sons iPhone 12 runs iOS 26 pretty okay.

Good to know but I am not going to update immediately especially since there are no new features and I am not getting a new AirTag.

Think I'll pass on this tiny update. I won't be buying any of the new airtags right away. But if the new ATV shows up I'm buying.
I find it odd you guys not interested in bug fixes or security updates but only new features. And that's ok, its your choice but clearly there is some major security issue(s) since they have gone WAY back to update older iOS versions on this one.

And it looks like it is only for ipads that can not run 26 as far as the 18.7.4 update goes.
Edit:
According to theapplewiiki it is available for the iPad 8 but no other device that supports 26 very strange. Is something wrong with 26 and the iPad 8?

iPadOS 26.2.1 feels much better on the iPad Air M1, the Home Screen glitch where all the apps would momentarily disappear is no longer present.

So From the look of things iOS/iPadOS 12 (why they renamed the iPadOS Moniker for iPads on this OS I don’t know)’s changes were just that one change about a certificate for some Apple Services to extended past January

But unlike other updates it doesn’t mention anything about security updates and there is no real reason for Apple to issue updates for OS 12 besides this only change because iOS 12’s last update was 3 years ago

But luckily for me iOS/iPadOS 15 is still getting security updates and not OS 12 it seems 🤔

I downloaded iOS 26.2.1 on my iPhone 16 Plus and watchOS 26.2.1 on my Apple Watch 11. But there’s no sign of anything being offered for my M2 iPad Airs.

Yes, it’s effectively impossible to update the 32GB iPad 8 from iPadOS 18.x (or earlier) to iPadOS 26.x without a full backup/erase/update/restore cycle using a Mac or PC. Apple really dropped the ball, in part by shipping any 32GB device that late in the iPad’s evolution (September, 2020). Even the 2nd generation iPhone SE introduced in April, 2020 — Apple's lowest cost iPhone at the time — offered a minimum 64GB of flash storage. iPadOS 18.7.4 at least delivers security updates and bug fixes on the 32GB iPad 8, and perhaps it fixes (or at least prepares to fix) the onward iPad 26.x delivery problems.

Is anyone else experiencing a “black on black” color bug with iPadOS 26.2.1 on the passcode/passphrase lock screen? The code entry pad is practically invisible at least if your lock screen has a black background. And that’s a likely workaround: change your lock screen background to something besides all black.

And I don't doubt that. It could be something specific to my phone but yeah, scrolling pages would have blank icons, then i'd wait 1-2 seconds and they'd appear. I did watch a few YT videos and the performance with iOS 26 was a bit iffy. But I did like the new look but now that I can't go back, I don't want to take that chance.

I have a 15PM runs iOS 26 very well. I’ve read others complain about performance for the same model.

I'm thinking of getting an iPhone X just to go back to iOS 16, but I already have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and newly released apps require iOS 17 as the minimum.

If only Apple continued releasing updates to iOS 17, and I think I kind of regret upgrading from iOS 17.7 to iOS 18.7

iOS 17 was the last to support classic widgets, the last to use the Control Center introduced in iOS 11, and the last good version of the Photos app, and the many other things that iOS 18 and iOS 26 made worse. If only Google released their Gallery app for iOS which until now is exclusive to android.

What improvements to battery life - if any - does this introduce ? Liquid Glass is a known battery hog, which is one of several primary reasons for not wanting it.

Regrettably, I still see no real improvement on that front.
