Whoo hoo! Apple Intelligence has arrived. š¤Ŗ
Of course it will go away. They wonāt tolerate to have that awful designPeople need to move on from it, itās getting old now, people are focusing on iOS 27, itās not going away whether people want it or not
Most of those are from 26.4. I assume your phone is on an earlier version of iOS than 26.4.The notes (in the Software Updates) on my iPhone say 26.4.1 "introduces Playlist Playground and Concerts in Apple Music, and 8 new emoji, along with other features, bug fixes, and security updates for your iPhone." There's a link to information about the security content. So there seems to be some security updates included.
yesDoes it get rid of liquid glass ?
Why does 26.4.1 even exist? Couldn't they just wait until 26.5? Getting tired of these constant x.x.1 releases.
No, the most basic thing expected from a phone is phone calls. SMS is number two. I'd put the contact list as number three, and possibly a calendar as number four. A web browser would be no higher than five, and possibly other things would push it even further back.Nope, still busted. A trillion dollar company canāt figure out the most basic thing expected from a phone ā what a clown show.
Ever since 26.4, that is buried in one level deeper. How do I update apps on the app store now? Why has that been removed?
Of course it will go away. They wonāt tolerate to have that awful design
Almost nobody likes liquid glass and even fewer want it and absolutely nobody needs it...People need to move on from it, itās getting old now, people are focusing on iOS 27, itās not going away whether people want it or not
I agree. That is the why you have a choice in this world if your not living somewhere like Russia or North Korea. You don't like Apples design? Fair enough, take it or buy android. Your money, your choice, your freedom. Apple is the company making iPhones and they are deciding about its design. If people are not ok with it, they should switch to the android where every UI is the basically same one in terms of design. To me, every android UI looks like a cheap outdated Temu phone (but i absolutely respect people buying it and loving it) and that is the reason why i really love liquid glass design, which is so far the best looking and unique design. Elegant, futuristic. So that's why i am using iPhone and not Xiaomi or Samsung. Or at least one of the reasons. If Apple adds some kind of transparency reduction for those people (which is already somehow there in a form of tinted liquid glass), it would be nice, i guess. At least don't forget what apple was known for. It was always that apple is the one who knows best how to create a perfect device without tons and tons of different customisations. I think that there are far more major problems with iOS than liquid glass tbh.People need to move on from it, itās getting old now, people are focusing on iOS 27, itās not going away whether people want it or not
Welcome to the family sonmy 17 pro max has been laggy and slow since RC
EDIT: App store is blazing fast like before RC, hope it doesn't go to *hit in a few days.
Word is, this new release makes Safari snappier. We appreciate your sacrifice.
Reducing transparency (and all the other available settings like Increase Contrast, Tinted Liquid Glass, etc) isn't the same as turning it off.
Sure the transparency can be reduced somewhat - but there are other aspects of liquid glass which I find horrible. Like excessively rounded corners.
No, reducing transparency is not turning it off. Turning it off would be a switch to disable transparency, completely. That also does nothing for the horrible shape-shifting borders around icons and widgets.
..and until then, I'm sticking with iOS 18.
You can also long press the appstore icon and click updates.Ever since 26.4, that is buried in one level deeper.
Open App Store, tap the top right corner to show "Apple Account". Then it is in the Updates portion in the middle of the page.
(I don't understand why Apple has to make this change...šµ)
You guys go off of the misleading name and never even used it. Lmao. š š
But sure. Whatever you guys say. š
The borders are not Liquid Glass.I have iOS 26 on my work phone. I know how it works.
Are the borders still around the icons and widgets? Yes, they are.
You do know you're not required to upgrade, right? Just wait until 26.5Why does 26.4.1 even exist? Couldn't they just wait until 26.5? Getting tired of these constant x.x.1 releases.
