I'm on 5.0 (GM) on a 3GS but I still don't see wifi sync when I connect via USB.

Any ideas

Anyone check the MD5 values against the GM, sometimes Apple will release a slightly different version for the general release with the same build number as the GM.

This. Interested in the MD5 sum as well. Will some kind dev please post them (specifically for iPhone 4 GSM hehe)?

Or anyone comfortable using the terminal, you can execute on the command line:

openssl md5 ios5.dmg

Replace ios5.dmg with the actual iOS5 DMG file name. Thanx

working and away from the computer with my backup on it...i assume updating it from another computer will erase non-itunes music and stuff?

I'm wondering the same thing. Can I do this at work, or should I wait until I get home to my main iTunes computer...

I'm downloading the ipsw now, so that by the time I get home the ipsw will be downloaded so I can update. How can I tell iTunes that I've already downloaded the ipsw?

Where did you get that from reading his post?

Different build number (added "v") in the final version of iOS 5 as opposed to GM. I assumed he has already installed the final version, which I think is correct, judging by the other replies in this thread.
