Any idea whether TMobile will include the new Apple Music in their unRadio unlimited data for music streaming? The old Apple Radio was included so hopefully they'll do the same for Apple Music.

These song repeats have got to be a mistake.
Uh, no. It makes sense for Zane to repeat some songs that premiered exclusive on Apple Music considering there are still people downloading iOS 8.4 and tuning in for the first time.

Something feels like this was rushed to production...

Had that too. Then it did an "Updating Apple Music" and everything was fine. A bit embarrassing from a coding perspective, but not a major issue.

A restart seemed to fix it. All things considered I think Apple has done a hell of a job server-wise on this rollout.

Does anyone know if you have to start the 3 month trial now or can it be done at any time and still last 3 months?

From my memory of the radio when I used to actually used to listen to it when I had a car in LA, that's what radio is and kind of always has been. They play a lot of the same songs. I wonder if Beats1 has the same kind of licensing agreements as traditional radio or if they have access to the Apple Music library.

Yeah I hope will Zane do his whole show again tomorrow, cause i'm pretty people will sign-up tomorrow as well. And maybe he can even do that again on thurday.

I was excited for all the non UK listeners to experience Zane for the first time haha...

I loved him on Radio 1. Great DJ!

There was, once upon a time, a pirate station named Xfm in London. It was simply fantastic. It then got a proper legal licence to broadcast and continued to be superb. That's when Zane Lowe joined them.

Xfm was an absolute jewel. There were no station-mandated playlists. Knowledgeable DJs who loved music played whatever they wanted. If one DJ wasn't to your taste -- never mind, there was probably one who was. Listening to Xfm in those days was like having another mate who ran up to you with their portable CD player (remember those?), jammed an earphone in your ear and shouted "Listen to this! It's new! You'll love it!".

And even if you thought you didn't like a particular genre, listening to the enthusiasm and the stories from the DJ who knew that genre inside-out often helped me get into and understand music that I would've otherwise ignored. Xfm was entirely responsible for me loving electronica and hip-hop and many others in addition to my (at the time) indie comfort zone.

Zane's always been a great DJ and from the sound of it, Apple are recapturing Xfm's glory days. This is what I want in a station. Of course, I want to hear stuff I know I like, but more than that, I want to like stuff I never thought I'd like.

(sadly, one afternoon many years ago, Xfm started broadcasting 5 songs on loop without DJs. Then the news hit us that it had been purchased by London's chief purveyor of blandness, Capital FM. It was downhill from there.)

I don't know if this has been posted yet. I was able to update from 8.4 beta to today's 8.4 by removing the beta profile, rebooting the phone and checking for software update.

Went from over an hour of "Update Requested" to "Downloading".

I hope this helps!

Why does adding a song to a playlist add it to your library...
Yes, it's a bit silly. It's not like every song I have is now one of my favorites. I created a top 50 playlist for the top songs of 1981. It's nice to cater to my nostalgia, but I don't need Kenny Rogers in my library permanently.

Feels a bit like having a U2 album forced onto me. ;)

This must be the 1st time in a long time where iTunes is actually being DEMANDED by Apple Fans. LOL. In other threads, whenever iTunes is brought up, it is with the air of disdain and contempt. Interesting how people's perception of things change with time...

I'm in love with iTunes its probably the best application on my MacBook, athough the Windows version is much much better.

It's only logical that they are holding the iTunes release back.. everyone is accessing their servers and downloading/streaming music like crazy.

just checked the iTunes download page and there is now red text on there that reads "iTunes 12.2 is coming soon"

soon meaning today? tomorrow?

What?

I think your sentence was suppose to say "I hope Zane WILL do his whole show again..."

Now I understand but your missing what I said but I mentioned in my post about exclusive songs. Is this your first listen to a radio station in your life? I'm sure you've heard songs repeat on a radio station and even Pandora before. This radio station isn't meant for you to sit and listen to all day long. I'm sure you have other priorities in life to contribute your time to.

Jesus.

People, including myself, probably just wanna listen to Beats 1 from their computers rather than having to stream from our phones.

I'm sure the hate hate hate threads will start soon after. Give it time
