Anyone else getting "Update Requested... Your software update request has been received. You will be notified when the update has been downloaded and is ready to install."

Normally, when I hit download it begins immediately.

Only showing in OTA and the download started immediately. Damn thing takes how much space?! Sheesh!

Update does not show in iTunes right now.

Mine says 'Update Requested...' don't know if that means it's downloading - or if it's waiting to not overcrowd the servers.

Edit: It just changed to 'Downloading...'

I always follow what Apple is up to but I haven't the foggiest idea what is new in iOS8. Probably the first time that's been the case for me with either iOS or OSX.

Is this a joke? It needs 5.7 GB free space on the 5S and 6.9 GB on the iPad Air

The joke is on the people with an 8 GB 5c. Delete all your apps and photos so you can install the update.

The update screen shows "This update is the biggest release since the launch of the App store". At the sizes of the downloads for iPhone and iPad, they REALLY MEAN BIGGEST!
