I'm impressed that Apple fixed it. I'm glad the fix works. But let's talk about how we got here.

This happened because iOS development is rushed so that a new version is released every year. There's no need for it.

I don't want lunch. I don't want money. I want a public statement from Tim/Craig that changes will be made to improve the quality of Apple's software and the Apps on it... and the way you do this is to freeze development on all new features for a year so that the iOS team can do a top/bottom review of the existing code base without having to focus on new features.

How about you just use another brand, Veruca Salt. Apple doesn't have to change their entire company pipeline to cater to you. Who do you think you are?

Making a huge mistake and then fixing it after days is only "reasonable" and "good job" here. Jesssh, you people are strange.

Perhaps we should instead use your comparable software as an example of how it should be. What was it called again? And the phone you developed?

Another example.

I'm not a developer nor a seller. I'm a customer. Customers use to want to have the products they bought working without excuses. I don't care at all about other companies, I care about Apple because it's what I buy and it's premium so it should work without problems.

Now, you don't get it, no problem. You're the dream costumer of every company: they take you for a fool you and you applaud. Nice.

iPhone 5 and iPad 3 are back in business. Is it me or the iPad 3 seems a lot faster?

I keep getting an error as it looks for the download.

It says:

"Unable to Check for Update
An error occurred while checking for a
software update
Cancel | Try Again"

I've tried 3 times. I'll try again. I really wasn't experiencing the problem others were.

Maybe it is because I went through all the Public Beta stages without an issue.

But whether you are a customer or a company you still live in reality, right? And in reality things happen, and in reality it takes some effort, resources, and time to address things that happen. Now, if we are just talking about an imaginary utopia, that's fine, as far as theoretical/philosophical discussion goes, it just doesn't really change the reality we are in.

So freakin buggy. Not showing recent calls. Apple watch is a week behind on recent calls. Many graphical problems. What a mess. I know Android isn't better, but man, this is the new Apple? iOS 6 and earlier were never like this.

Must be your device. My 6 Plus hasn't had any of these problems - now, or throughout the Public Beta.

These kind of things CAN'T happen. They should have such a low probability they shouldn't happen for decades. It's just one OS and three devices, and all from the same company, how hard can that be, do you imagine a car factory having to stop for 6 days because some equipment doesn't work? Apple is just working badly, it's just that.

And these are the ones who laughed at the blue screens from Windows, which works in billions of hardware combinations. Give me a break. What a ridiculous progression, now they're not able to put their **** together and release an update without bugs for their own phone.

Working now. Probably a case of corporate wifi throttling here.

I would suspect a DNS resolution issue first. It's been the most common cause of that error in my experience. Thankfully, I haven't had that error in over two years, back when I had my iPhone 5 (passed it off to a relative when the 6 Plus came out.)

The OTA update to 9.3.1 appears on all of my devices Except my 6s. Why is that happening?
I just updated my 6s, try downloading from ipsw.me then updating with iTunes Mac: alt + update then go to ipsw or Windows: shift + update then go to ipsw.

Like I said, there's the theoretical utopia, and then there's the basic reality (whether one agrees with it or not).

That depends on the method. If it is an Android System update, those can be rolled out via the Play Store. If it is an OS update, hopefully you are running a Nexus. If not you may never see it.

One should always be aware of the "Grammar Nazi's".
Then tend to circle from time to time.

I think you meant "Grammar Nazis".

Happy 2 bee ov helpe. :)

All those threads from iOS 6 and earlier days that filled up the forums with all kinds of complains were just imaginary, right?
No I guess not but I've been an iPhone owner since the first gen, and I have never seen so many bugs as now. It's a real problem.
