I wonder if it'll get iTunes to see all my .mov movies like it did before I updated to Lion. My movie collection went from 50 down to 6. Suddenly the rest are no longer playable. ...though they're perfectly fine on my SL-equipeed work computer....

Anyone try downgrading 10.5 to 10.4.1? Old versions iTunes Library.itl was incompatible so you had to revert with to an older one. Maybe 10.4.1 is different?

Can someone tell me if it fixes a bug where the space key doesn't play/pause if the iTunes window is closed? This didn't occur until 10.4 was released, and Apple acknowledged that it was a bug.

I'm running 10.5b90, where it still happens. I'd love to find out from someone if this is fixed in 10.4.1. :)

It's always that way with downgrades. If you are developer you should be using another user account / partition to test.

Anybody else notice this appears to be a delta update?

iTunes updates have always been delta updates.

Sometimes I wish Steve had never mentioned Delta updates in the iOS 5 preview. Now everyone thinks Delta updates are new.
OS X software updates have always been Delta updates. Delta updates are only new to iOS updates.

You're not entirely wrong, the previous updates were "delta" updates but they included the entire app even if only 1 byte changed, which is why previous itunes updates were always the full size app, 60+ MB's (or whatever size itunes ballooned to).

The new delta updates means only sending the bytes that actually changed and the info on how to apply them (kinda like diffs/patch files), so now we have a 12MB update instead :)

iTunes 10.5b90 is better ;) :D
I'm wondering what the point of this update is if iTunes 10.5 is around the corner. Why waste the time and resources?

Still downloaded and installed to the 12" PowerBook G4... :)

Wondering if 10.5 will be the cut-off...
Nope. It's alive and well on the 10.5 betas still. The only thing missing from PPC iTunes 10.5 is wifi sync.

That's not a delta update.

That's what a delta update is. Delta means change. Only the changes in code are updated which results in a much smaller file to download and install.

10.4 broke my media keys on my work PC (Windows 7). I listen to podcasts throughout the day; media keys are pivotal so that I can pause when the phone rings or someone walks in my office. Worked fine on previous versions of iTunes.

Saw the 10.4.1 was suppose to fix this issue - updated and rebooted.

Nope.

Media keys still not functioning on Logitech MK700. Highly ****ing annoying.

Can someone comment on if this update fixes the artwork in Finder issues? I dare not take the plunge...

P.S. Please no "iTunes has nothing to do with the Finder" comments if you don't mind, this issue is well known and is indeed an iTunes bug.

I'm getting album artwork in Finder so it seems to be working for me now.

Photo Syncing fixed!

This iTunes update seems to have fixed my broken photo syncing to my iDevices. I just synced 6000+ photos from Aperture to my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 without having to delete the iPod Photo Cache file.

Any chance they brought the Backup to Disc feature back for Lion users? I hate how this feature disappeared....

Apple is attempting to kill non-flash physical storage. Removing "Backup to Disc" was a calculated move.

I agree with other posters that iTunes is much snappier after 10.4.1 update.

I can confirm this fixes all my reported bugs for the Windows 7 64 bit version. Tested the album art bug and more important the "purchases" bug where nothing appeared in any history when clicking on that link.

So, for Windows 7 64 bit it seems like all the bugs are fixed now. On to testing Lion, but so far so good. :)

seriously cant they make an all new itunes soon>?!>?!#? there's SO many new options that people have requested..

Is there a way to report bugs to Apple? I still have a problem where in Windows 7, I have my taskbar at the top of my screen. When itunes is maximized, the top part gets cut off.

I've never been a fan of iTunes on the Windows side, just doesn't work as good as on Mac OS.. If I were you I'd download Winamp, its free and its pretty awesome..

did it fix this issue with playing videos in a playlist without stopping after one video?

Unfortunately, this didn't fix the bug causing the following message to be generated in the system log every minute for every iOS device while iTunes is running.

8/23/11 7:30:20.028 AM com.apple.usbmuxd: HandleUSBMuxDictionary client 0x100316290-iTunes/com.apple.iTunes using library usbmuxd-211 built on May 16 2011 at 00:10:01, running usbmuxd-211 built on May 16 2011 at 00:14:56

Resume playback finally implemented? Such essential feature was available in SoundJam MP back in 2001, from where iTunes was developed.

Nice update, iTunes was by no means slow on lion, now its really fast.

For those of you who said they check for update but nothing showed- keep checking - should be fine now.
