There’s something about Pages that annoys me: that it won’t do a simple and straightfoward Save as HTML, but only allows saves to Apple’s proprietary iWeb. That has always struck me as a cheesy Microsoft-like move. Now that iCloud is coming, so that Apple isn’t going to support iWeb any longer, there’s no excuse in the world for not giving us Save as HTML in the next iteration of Pages.

actually if you publish locally you end up wiyh a folder and the HTML filies. Not a clean HTML, though, but fine to be edited by HTML experts,

Downloaded the upgrade on Saturday and immediately used it to clean up an older Keynote presentation. Transferred it to my iPhone, plugged it into the projector in the lecture hall and proceeded to wow the students by showing them a visually rich presentation right from my phone.

I absolutely love Keynote.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but does anyone know HOW this fixes the irritating bug in Lion? It has something to do with autosave, doesn't it? Because I noticed the reason why Keynote was so retardedly slow under Lion was because it was always autosaving at every single stupid movement -- which was HORRIBLE when working with presentation that had large images or worse -- movie files.

Working on a G4 Powerbook was faster than my i7 Quadcore Macbook pro!

Will try to see if I still get that annoying autosave happening...
