Mobile Sync is broken for me. My list of registered computers is now gone and sync is no longer working. 3 upgraded machines have the same problem. 1 non-upgraded machine has sync working still.

Sorry to hear that. Seems to be working fine for me on all fronts. I have 4 macs and just updated this one but working across the other ones as well.

Not me. Install went flawlessly. Did the Setup Assistant cause you any problems?
Morod
No, it just ran the intro video when I logged in and then Setup Assistant was asking for info (name, addresses, etc.) and I just closed it. Everything else is fine.

OT: Is that a Google Notifier or some other Gmail-app?
Are you talking about next to SysPrefs? That's iPhone Modem.

mobile me sync now works, had to do a manual sync from the sys pref pane, but now it works again. communication with my time capsule is a hell of a lot faster. thank god for that

Happy about all the different components being updated....
but the end result I'm mainly looking for is.... Starcraft and Diablo!
Hahaha, horrible :p
Actually, I'm hoping some of the airport issues I've had will be fixed also. And the occasional waking from sleep when it's not supposed to (like lidwake, supposed to be off but sometimes wakes my MBP up)

Weird. I restarted my router and modem and now all is well. I wonder why that is.

Something new (to me anyway) using MobileMe on the Mac and iPhone...

Before, if I checked emails on my Mac and deleted them, I still had to manually go into Mail.app on the iPhone to refresh. HOWEVER, now with 10.5.5 it updates it automatically!! Woohoo! This bothered me for some reason, I hated having to manage 2 email apps (seemed redundant with the whole cloud thing).

So, the OS X update and the iPhone update have really helped me. The only thing I really want now is to be able to have my MobileMe photos visible on my iPhone without using Safari. But thats another topic...

The fonts on Mail.app and iChat seems much tighter. Almost as if the resolution on my MacBook Pro changed. I am using 1440x900 and I double checked and it's still the same.

Anyone else notice this?

Does it improve or harm the Macbook wireless? Any reports? I don't want wireless worse than it is. Improvements would be great. I'm not gonna download until I know it's safe.

I have not installed the latest MBA update yet (the one with new CPU control drivers) because CoolBook works great, now that 10.5.5 is out the MBA update is gone from the update app and the release notes for 10.5.5 list MBA cpu update, has anyone with an MBA and CoolBook installed this update yet?

Civilization IV reincarnated!

Praise the lord - Civilization IV Warlords is now brought back to life with the 10.5.5 update (worked prior to 10.5.3 and below, but 10.5.4 broke it) !!

Well done Apple. I have nothing bad (yet) to say about this.

I went through Software Update and installed the 136 MB sized update and as the rest reported, it went smoothly without problems on my Santa Rosa MBP 2.4 (2007).

for some reason, after the update, my buttons across the top are now not organized.

the buttons dedicated to play/pause, forward and backward now the volume up now bring the widgets dashboard.

I wonder if this resets the Mail setting in any way for those of us who changed the setting to sync from every 15 minutes to every 1 minute?

My iMac with Leopard 10.5.4 has actually been acting really weird lately. It seems to be getting slower and slower and there's been lots of keyboard and mouse delay. Even my non-technical wife has commented that "the computer is slower".

I'm been thinking about backing up all my data and doing a total fresh reinstallation.

Here's hoping 10.5.5 makes things go back to normal.

Try running Disk Utility and see if that will help clean up any problems with permissions or the directory. It is in the Utilities folder within your Applications folder.

10.5.5

Install went smoothly on a G5 dual Tower and G5 iMac
